Impressive. The series managed to throw in well-done drama out of left field and still have it make sense within the bizarre events of the last couple episodes.

I agree. this episode was very well done, and it was neat to see what Meme was doing in the background the whole time. It was nice to see a glimpse of her past as well, and I was a little disappointed that Yamamoto didn't turn out to be Erio's father, (although the glimpse of Elliot that we saw during the flashback did make more sense, appearance wise).

There was a really nice message this episode, though, of showing the people that you love how much you care about them, and it made me glad that Meme's grandma got so happy just from seeing some rockets go off.

still waiting if there will be a conflict in the last 4 EPs like Makoto going outcast mode due infos about him being the cousin of Erio + the "I Can(not) Fly"(looks like a title of Eva-rebuild) then comes up an idea like zero exposure in Iris Zero...

ive been watching this since ep 1. oh btw does anyone know where to find the section where people make posts for animes and upload links for them in their post. If im correct one of the many useres i noticed the most was this person named Disgusting. But im not sure anymore i havent been her in a while. Anyonh know where that section is now? I cant seem to find it.

Even when she's a fish, I find Maekawa very attractive. I love her personality.

Also, if I was Niwa, I would be all over Meme. I don't care if she's 40.

Oh god, Denpa Onna chick tier ratings are as follows.

S: Meme: I don't care if she's my aunt, I don't care if she's 40, if I found her in my fridge I'd go in with her.

A: Erio: Doesnt she make you go Dawww... and then search for doujinshi of her?

B: Ryouko: A little annoying, and she's not nice to Erio! She's B because she sets up cool interactions between Erio and the MC.

C: Maekawa: Sorry Maekawa fanboys, but shes JUST not that appealing. Can anyone explain what makes her appealing?

I think she's appealing because she doesn't really care what others think of her, so she just does what she wants. She also is very aware of others' feelings. This lets her be subtle, but she also manages to slightly manipulate things for her amusement.

Also, kimono and bell and hard hat girl is cute.

In addition to what ZeroOBK said, I find her attractive because she is not afraid to be herself. I don't know ANYONE that would walk around dressed like a fish, or a dumpling. Some would argue that she lacks common sense, but when we look at her ability to perceive other's emotions, this proves to be untrue.

I actually find all of the girls in Denpa Onna to be attractive, but looking at personality, I have to say that Maekawa and Meme are above the rest.

I rank Maekawa above Meme because it appears that Meme is maintaining a facade. I am not saying that the personality of hers that we've seen is fake, but rather there is something that she is hiding. If we think about it really, Meme, and subsequently Elliot, are the most mysterious people in the show. We know very little about them. This subtle mystery, in my opinion, makes her a little bit cliched. Also, although she is currently very attractive, in 10-20 years, the age difference (she's ~20 years older than me...) will make itself apparent.

It was interesting to learn more about Yashiro, (and how similar she is to erio), but I wonder what Niwa's going to have to do to get her back home/I wonder if we will learn why she ran away from home. I'm also wondering if she really does have a connection to Elliot.

Besides that, I'm hoping for some epic basketball from Ryuuko in the finale, (because the last two episodes are going to air together in 2 weeks), and some more info on Erio's past.

It's funny, because now I'm completely used to Maekawa. I hardly bat an eye whenever she starts wearing a new outfit.

these episodes had one thing that I didn't like, Makoto's background on why he tends to be halfhearted about things. The explanation doesn't bother me so much as the timing and the repetition. Episode 11 awkwardly starts right off with this. This seems fine, until we get to the part where Makoto re-explains his soccer past while cheering on Ryuuko, (where I feel it would've been better to explain it the first time). The soccer explanation/flashback is repeated again in episode 12. Repeating it so many times decreased my enjoyment of some of the subtleties of Makoto's behavior in earlier episodes.

Aside from that, everything was great, including an incredibly accurate recreation of Super Mario Kart.

Episodes 11 and 12 and overall impression:

I must say that I really enjoyed the last two episodes of Denpa Onna. I really liked the messages that were portrayed, (that even though you have failed before, you still can succeed later on and that everyone is good at something-it's just not always apparent at first). I saw a lot of growth amongst the cast within a short amount of time, and two moments in particular really showcased that fact: when Ryuuko score the two points during the basketball game, and when Niwa got the homerun during the baseball game. Although, during both of those sequences, it was vaguely hinted that Yashiro might have had some involvement, but that fact is probably going to remain a mystery.

Overall, I enjoyed this series a lot as it was full of likable characters, nice artwork, and solid themes. I'm looking forward to the OVA and another possible season. :)
