Well nothing last forever but I don't imagine it'll stop anytime soon. Right now it's still a cash cow and also part of Japans culture. I'm sure they'll want to preserve that.

1) Love the topic image...you have no idea.
2) Maybe, but it'll more likely evolve. Like some of the other users said (i.e. BlackJesus), the art form may change and the genre it self may evolve to include other things. "Anime" will be around for a long time, as long as there is interest in it, and just because there is no "mainstream" support for it, there will be someone, somewhere, who will pass on the love of anime. In that sense, it won't die.

Yes because the world will cease to be. Art forms and media genres die out eventually.. im not seeing a decline soon.

Anime popularity is starting to overcome normal cartoons (maybe not most cartoon films though).
All hail anime!

I dont think it will die out anytime soon or really at all. Media forms are constantly changing through the hands of their creators. With the passing of time it changes gradually and may eventually be succeeded by another similar form of media or just be really different from how it is now. Adapting to survive I guess...

Really doubt it will die, but not saying as if it won't happen altogether. As far as I am concerned, animation has been around the world for more than 50 years, and it is still around.

Who knows. I'm doubtful that it will keep on living forever.
I think it will either get updated or forgotten. For me they seem like the most realistic outcomes.
If it gets updated then anime will disappear, like VHS did when the DVD disc came out. And overtime anime will slowly get more rare.

I don't see a reason as to why it must end anytime soon. The anime industry is gaining popularity outside Japan. More people are taking interest and you see more manga and anime every year.I'm pretty sure it's safe to say anime won't be dying on us anytime soon.
Haha, as long as FUNimation is around, anime will stay (at least in America); hopefully the N.American demand will cause the animators in Japan to continue production.

It will not die, since manga can be considered as a work of art and a form of literature of some sort. Oftentimes, anime are based from manga.
As long as manga and animators exists, there will be anime.

I sure hope not, at least not as long as I'm alive. I would hope that it evolves with our ever growing knowledge of technology so it may become something even greater than it already is.

Maybe some day, but I doubt it and honestly it seems to be getting more and more popular. There is just too much you can do with anime that you can't do in live action films. Even those have become more and more animated over the years.

Anime has as much of a chance of dying as comic books, novels, video games, and movies. No matter how big the struggle, (most) people do not make these for the money, but for the joy they have in the medium and desire to create something they find worth while. Even if it couldn't be affordable for anime companies, fans will take up the mantle and continue it. (Kickstarter would help in this case)
Now will anime always stay as the medium that it is, I can't say for sure, when virtual reality booms, I wouldn't be surprised if anime starts to adopt more 3 dimensional representation. *imagining a "tales of..." like with better animation* At the very least, a lot of anime task are being imported to computers.

Time is changing and today, 3d is making it's move. Anime will exist if 3d animation covers 2d art? if I am correct. I lose interest in most anime today because of poor story very childish or is it because I'm getting matured? Poor animation doesn't matter to me, more important is the story but quality animation is an advantage with good plot.
So how about cartoons?
