Does Inuyasha suck?

The one thing that annoyed me the most about Inuyasha was that they LOVE to state the obvious over and over again!

Eh, Sango is ok. Yura is still a lot hotter. I hate her english dub though, not cute at all. I like the chinese and japanese voice only.

No, fuck you, Sango is hotter. Yura is only "hotter" because she's barely wearing anything.

With Inuyasha, the fillers were very annoying. Inuyasha & gang had to do something to help somebody, and nothing changed. Predictable.

And there were the filler episodes that were simply stupid - Shippo's heart scar? What the fuck was that? You're telling me I wasted twenty minutes watching Shippo be an idiot, to see him biting Inuyasha's ass?

Yura is a ninja and Naruto is not a fucken ninja. Ninjas don't wear bright colors, but whatever the idea of ninjas differ today so whatever. What you picture a ninja is I'll leave it be.

Not everyone is going to like the fillers, but some of us do. So what if you thought the Heart Scar episode was stupid, I thought it was kind of funny. What would you make of the fillers if you had creative control?



What makes you say she's a ninja?

Ninjas could have worn bright colors. The whole sterotypical ninja clothing, the shinobi shozoku, is rooted in kabuki theater. The fact is that wearing something like that in a situation where it was otherwise inappropriate would be the same as wearing a neon sign around one's neck that said, "Hey I'm a ninja." Thats not to say they wouldn't wear something like that during night missions, but in broad daylight, it would be more rational to assume that they dressed similar to samurai or commoners in order to blend in better.

I'm totally getting a neon sign for my neck that says, "I am a ninja."

Inuyasha wasnt all that bad. It had it moments. They were characters to hate and love. For example:

Negatives
Kagome: Hated her. OMGAWD shes annoying. Everything is sit! Why dont you sit yourself bitch!
Shippo: Another dumbass.

Positives
Inuyasha: His confused over a dead woman and an annoying bitch really got to me. However, he still has a strong caring character. He always does his best to protect everyone.
Kagura: Love her defiant attitude and spunk.
Naraku: A very well developed villian.
Sesshomaru: This dude rox! A strong and fearless character. Even with one hand he is still the most badass.

You really must hate Inuyasha. Its evident when both options to the poll are basically "YES".

Inuyasha, like many other anime / manga series, at first looked & seemed interesting like others in the feudal era point. After 1st look further in it had a plot, story, heros & villans, pretty much everything ya need 2 make ur cookies for the ppl we R 2 enjoy. Yet like the destined few that would meet their fate, this went down the path of losing its simplicity w/ adding sooooooo many other people, places, spin-off, side-stories & twists than an M. Night movie. @_@

From that mistake Inuyasha became the retarded clam-cake from the cookie it once was, & 2 how a cookie becomes a clam-cake only those who took the journey to finish the entire story would know.

Simply, was alright show that went down the wrong way & just kept going and going and going...

IMO, inuyasha was cool and fun up until...it got popular, then it just got out of hand where i broke up relationships with people since i said it was a stupid show and the people don't exist since its a cartoon, they didn't take it too well. i think those people now are still high school drop-outs who worship miroku shrines, meh, who knows.

Inuyasha is fine for something light and pretty generic. The main characters are fairly endearing, even when the plot is recycled or lame.

Inuyasha isn't a great show, but it never came close to the epic levels of badness of shows like DBZ, Yuyu Hakusho, and the likes.

Bottom line, it wasn't sustainable for 200 episodes, or however long it ran, and had a generic and predictable plot, but wasn't particularly offensive in any way.

I do think Sesshomaru is one of the most shallow and one dimensional characters I have ever seen in any storytelling media though.

Inuyasha was animated amazingly yes, but the storyline was sparse and unimaginative as well as childish and stupid.

I have nothing against Inuyasha's story or artworks, but in terms of anime, it's way too long for me to watch.
I don't watch long animes like One Piece, Bleach, Naruto & D.Grayman (Thank goodness D.Grayman ended).
It's totally different if you talk about manga, usually 1 chapter in manga means 1 episode in anime.
1 episode usually consist of 20+ minutes to 30, the time is already enough for me to read 2~3 mangas. I would support Inuyasha in manga but hell no in animes =.=

PS. I do read One Piece, Bleach & Naruto mangas. But not animes

Ahhh, ye ol inuyasha.

I actually like some of the episodes, if only for the nostalgic value.

One of the first animes I watched on Adult Swim. ._. It was my "naruto" I guess.

On retrospect, the series was going in a pretty decent direction, until that annoying fuckhead Shippo came into the picture.

Then it all went down a crapshoot.


Though I do like the wide variety of villains, if only the main characters didn't suck

It was specifically that that made me wanna strangle Inuyasha. The fact that he can't get over some dead bitch even after spending 145+ episodes and 2 movies and couldn't get it on with Kagome was infuriating. Not a fucking single, "I love/like you" line or moment in the entire series, they never collected the entire crystal, Naraku never fucking dies, etc. etc.

I wasted over 50 hours of life watching this non-progressing series.

On another note, it looked pretty cool on Adult Swim, back in the day, but after having watched the series in full, my attitude definitely changed.

I think Adult Swim made me completely hate the show. It was horrible that the show never really progressed, but what really pissed me off was that the show would get shown ALL THE TIME! It's like if Adult Swim had some free time, they stuck Inuyasha there, without thinking of anything else.

The show's been over for years, and they're still showing repeats! I think every person who ever wanted to watch the show has already seen it by now. And it doesn't have good rewatch value, like other series. It's just pointless to air the show.

Maybe I'm just pissed because they've shown Inuyasha a thousand times, and THEY ONLY SHOWED GUNDAM ONCE!
