Gakuen Mokushiroku: High-school of the Dead //Zombies!

Now I wish to play L4D. So far very exciting show and the manga was just as exciting. Just gotta get past the school girls getting mauled... not a sight you want to see...

Hmmm nice animation for the opening episode! I'm also suprised that it got picked up so fast too. Everyone seems to be going for the simulcasting trend these days, which is good but bad for fansubbers I guess...

I'm just amazed that anime didn't jump on the zombie-loving bandwagon earlier! I mean it's been an international fiction trend for a while now, and they're only just beginning to bank on it? I suppose the manga covered that but still...

Good action, but the fanservice seems... disproportionate in comparison. Sure everyone enjoys some boob-shots and panty-shots on occasion, but all while the girl in question is being eaten alive? Kinda counters the intended effect, lol!!

Like many have already pointed out, the ecchi moments are out of place. I don't mind a show having panty shots an what not, but close ups on bouncing boobs seem out of place when someone is getting eaten.

well, if you think about it logically...

If somebody is getting mauled and eaten, should their clothes be "normally" tidy? lol

it's completely normal for skirts to be turned upside down like that if they fell head first down the stairs.

Lol, now, if only I could see that happen in real life. Though it's kind of annoying seeing gravity and undead pulling the girl down and then watching her get ripped apart. Ruins the whole moment of "oooh, panties"

Anyway, I really liked the first ep. Hasn't failed my expectations as one of my must watch animes of the summer, and hopefully it stays that way, though I'm curious at what kind of ending they're gonna come up with as the manga hasn't ended yet. Unless they decide to continue the anime with the manga...which is unlikely though I would love it.

I loved the first episode!

Too bad the gore factor went down a notch compared to the manga but its still awesome. Im looking forward to how the anime will pull off the "bathroom" and "orgy bus scenes" that comes later in the story... XD

First episode was really good. The pacing was good, and the tone wasn't overplayed. It gave that feeling of watching a movie mini-series on zombie outbreaks, on a high school setting no less. And playing off the characters' situations are nice as well.

Of course I won't go on a limb and say this is the best one so far. I'd wait for the series to finish first, and I'm really hoping that this show won't lose steam. But judging from the first episode, it should at least be one of the best so far.

Oh damn i thought it looked familiar....

I'm really wondering how they are going to end this series...

They find the cure on the zombies and the whole world gets better?
They find out who caused the outbreak and kick their asses? And the end?

What am I saying..the show just started. :D I'm just going to enjoy the pantsu and gore :D

I always feel sad seeing those past photos. It's a nice touch of Irony to the anime.

The first few scenes before the op butted in was full of many kinds of awesome.

And yeah, oppai and zombies look good together. Forgive me. I meant a living non-pettanko person surrounded by the hungry undead. I would like to make that clear just in case you were thinking otherwise.
