Checked out the Specific Anime/Manga sections and found that it was going to be merged with Anime and Manga section...
One question, why?
IIRC, the Specific Anime/Manga section is about what it was, specific Anime/Manga, while the Anime and Manga section contained topics about Anime and Manga, but can also diverge quickly into other topics.
I always found these 3 to be perfectly balanced with what they are supposed to be about, so why the merging?

I think this should be in the feedback and whatnot section.
OT: I do agree with that reasoning, but still, this Jake's site, and he can do whatever he wants with it. Also, I don't think it will be implemented 'that' soon. Remember when he said that the DL link will be up shortly 2 months ago, yet it's still down up to this day.

Been waiting to see the opinions from the guys who goes often to this section first....
So, my opinion :Keep it as it is.
Both The "Specific anime" and "Specific Manga" section doesn't need a "change of name". Like some of the users said, changing it will make the section messy, since specific titles will be mixed up with Random general discussions and that will clutter up the section.
Suggesting to change the name of the General discussion's name into Anime and Manga General Discussion with the sub title as "Discuss topics that is related to an anime or a manga"
I see the Anime and Manga Specific sections like the game Upload sections, "One title - one thread", and the General discussions like the "VN and Eroge Discussion section" where you make topics about something related to a certain title.
Point is: Keep it as it is
The newbie confusion and mistakes will always be there even if you changed the name anyways.
So, my opinion :Keep it as it is.

Likewise. It'll only turn everything messy and crude when the merging is done.
It's been the same since 3-4 years ago, if I remember correctly. Why change it now?
Or rather, there hasn't been any problems with it since it came out, no one has any qualms about the 3 sections, everyone pretty much has a clear understanding of what goes where (unless they are dyslexic, blind, or retarded).
Also, that thread is 2 years old. I didn't see that :(

I'm pretty sure they decided not to do it. I noticed awhile ago that the notice *This section is to be merged* that was always on the front page of the Anime & Manga disappeared.

I can see the reason why you (probably Jacob and or other Fakku mods) did this, but doing it without setting the correct sub-sections for each previously separete sections is just plain dumb or careless.
