[General] What anime got you into anime???

It was a manga

called Dream Saga when I was in 7th grade




and I am not counting bayblade, because I thought it was a normal cartoon, like pokemon and digimon, didn't know it was anime at the time

I would say Cowboy Bebop, DBZ, and Outlaw Star were the big ones that got me interested in anime originally. I assume that I'm in the same boat as a lot of the people who had Toonami growing up.

I guess it was Pokemon, Digimon and Beyblade, since those are the first animes I saw.

But in a way it really Dragonball that started it all, the manga, because I never watched Dragonball.

Since it was Dragonball who started my fascination for manga/anime and also Japan.

For me, it was Eureka 7 and Girls Bravo!!!!

Fist of the NORTH STAR!!! Love that show.

Has got to be Naruto for me. I sometimes watched some other animes that aired on T.V but Naruto really pulled me in :)

the first anime that i watch is Dragon Ball Z & Saint Seiya.. never got bored to watch that, i wonder what would happen if i never watch that.. well who cares

I was in the Phillipines, flippin' through channels and suddenly I saw a scene of Nagi being seen naked by Hayate from Hayate no Gotoku.

Interesting first impression.

Shaman King though my anime history went even waaaay back.

My first animes were shows like Keroro Gunsou and Digimon (growing up in various rural areas of Oriental land), before divulging in more complex things like Nodame Cantibelle and Ginbang Kaleidoscope. But Fullmetal Alchemist (brotherhood and the manga) was what pulled me into anime, because of the show's philosophical undertone.

Dragonball Z, Pokemon and Yugioh.
DBZ is a classic, and still a good show, no matter how drawn out those battles were
Pokemon, I'm only really a fan of Kanto season, got repetitive but the indigo league is still good today
Yugioh will always be awesome, the best in the series although GX season 4 came really close

it seems that i've found my interest in Anime Since i started watching CODE GEASS

DragonBall Z hands down.. thats a guys dream to start off like anime that way.

The .//HACK series, loved it and still do.... watched it for the first time in 2007ish i think can't remember to clearly though.
