[General] What anime got you into anime???

DragonBall Z (eng dub) got me into the world of anime.

I belive it was sailor moon or something around there

I watched Dragonball, sailormoon and doreamon when I was a kid.

However I really got into anime after watching GITS, Rahxehphon and Fullmetal Panic.

Yu Yu Hakusho and Tenchi Muyo, but only because i dont want to say DBZ like everyone else.
Fun face, you could say Ryoko from Tenchi Muyo was my first waifu, i even remember having dreams about her.

Cow and Chicken, and Duckman.

Dragon Ball Z, but that was long before I knew what anime was :P

Eureka 7.

I remember being so stoked when Eureka 7: AO was announced.

It fucking sucked.

That would be FMA: Brotherhood episode 63, I believe. That was the episode that convinced me to start watching anime seriously. My first anime I watched to completion was actually the original series of FMA though.

Pretty sure it's a toss up between Voltes V and Daimos. This was back in the mid to late 90s.

I feel old. Mine was Sailor Moon.

I technically had watched Speed Racer before that, but I was too young to realize that it was another but another cartoon.

Ah, watching Sailor Moon on USA in the mornings. Good times.

Fairy Tail and Bleach.

i watched code lyoke religiosly when i was a kid, i would watch every episode when it aired, and watch all the reruns too. I went looking for it later when i got a computer, and found anime. that was the start. I was a casual watcher until about my freshman year of highschool, when i joined a anime club and went hardcore after that

Definitely dragonball z and yu yu hakusho that was airing on Toonami at the time. The 4-530 pm timeslot was the best time to be a kid.

The first time i realized i was heavily into Anime was after i had a Shakugan no Shana marathon and watched all 3 seasons in a day. I realized i was on a slippery slope and after the last episode i purposefully slipped and have been enjoying the fall ever since.

So to answer your question: Shakugan no Shana. But i really wouldn't have been able to watch it if it weren't for Rie Kugimya. Something about her voice kept me from dropping the show. She isn't called the Tsundere Queen for nothing...

My friends kind of exposed me to some shock/gory anime like Elfen Lied and Hellsing while at sleepovers (was obviously still quite young). Around the same time, I saw the dubbed version of Beck on tv and that'd prolly be my first anime I really got into aside from stuff like pokemon as a kid. It developed from there.
