StaticTY The Economist
The anime that got me were the Gundam series and inyuasha. I watch Digimon, pokemon, sailor moon, and etc when i was a kid but those didnt really push me to being an OTAKU!

what reaally got me was one piece dubbed i watched anime before but not to the point where i was addicted

The first one that led met to discover anime was Detective Conan. The ones that were anime that I didnt know were anime until like...a few months ago were Pokemon, Digimon, stuff from Toonami.

Has anyone else noticed that "Toonami" = "Toon" + "ami" and "ami" all appear in "anime"?

Grew up with it...y'know the power block programming they had on the old WB and Toonami.

I could list childhood anime that came on like Digimon, Yu Yu Hakusho, DBZ, etc.

Not to mention my brother and mother were complete videophiles and made me watch every anime they had scrounged around to find.

First Anime for me was Sailor moon, then pokemon, then i started my anime life

I would say it was Pokemon and DBZ but at that time I wasn't officially into anime, so the true answer would be Love Hina and Vandread.

Original dub for Akira and Vampire Hunter D. Ghost in the Shell later made it more into an obsession.

Tosho Daimos. First saw it in 1992. It kind of ended up as my "gateway" to veer away from the American shows that time (until Power Rangers came in).

hm for me it was The first GitS movie which i saw it on TV late at night

School Days.

I wish I had never watched it, but what is done is done.

InuYasha and Cowboy Bebop. The latter is still one of my favorites to this day.

Loner the People's Senpai
DBZ and Digimon

Batman the Animated Series and Thundercats aren't technically "anime" since they're American made but I'd say they were definitely inspired by it.

Dragon Ball, Inuyasha, Samurai X, Pokemon, Digimon. All of em classics.

Well , Although I started watching Poke'mon at a younge age , I dont think I really considered that Anime as its more of a cartoon.

I used to watch here and there of DBZ but I was never really into it. So years had past and one night I watch this movie called Princess Mononoke , and I belive thats what got me hooked on Anime.

Right after that I watch the Ghost in the Shell movie , later on leading to a Mech series called Mobile suit Gundam ( which I love up too 0083 ) and Cowboy Beebop , Inuyasha ( which didnt stay long in my watching list ) and eventually lead me to reading Manga , which I enjoyed much more , because there is so much more story to the title :D

I was intrigued by Deathnote earlier on, but I guess Elfen Lied and then Spice and Wolf were what really got me.
