A bit disa... no, very disappointed in the ending. Feels like they had things going in the right direction for most of the two seasons, but IG, again, falls short of leaving an impressive ending. It felt like a mediocre ending, but by no means terrible.

So they went with the reverse Code Geass huh...WHY! WHY! WHY! INORI DIDN'T HAVETO DIE *rage*. It's a meh ending, would've gladly taken Inori surviving and Shoe dying. And is he blind now or something? Again IG leaves so many things untouched. I would've added Daryl into the last scenes, his relationship with Tsugumi would've been interesting. And seriously...Shoe you look like an old man with that getup, get rid of it you idiot.

Also didn't like Gai trying to be a Lelouch, doesn't fit his style.

Yup,I would've felt more if Shu died a hero's death,absorbing the whole country's crystals and Inori's + her blindness and die with it. I really don't see how Inori's death can bring any meaning to the show.

There isn't even a single couple paired off in the end. If they were trying to make this a tragic anime I gotta say they failed big time,not enough development to make me feel sad,the only 2 scenes that made me tear up was Hare's death and Inori's ,but hardly.

You can't even call that a fight scene. This episode sums up GC pretty well as a whole. Nobody we care about dies, people we actually want dead don't die, and people we wanted be alive are still dead. So basically, the entire audience was trolled (Happy Birthday indeed, Hare).

That endcard sums it up so very nicely.
Scarface: Nyoron~
Tsugumi: ...
Dan: GUTS!

The lack of Scarface in these episodes has diminished my motivation to comment further. To sum it up, series sucked.

a fairly good last episode, though we all got shamalayn'd three different times. but all together for the series 4 out of 5, the series does have something lacking though not sure as to what it was.

if there was ever a made for doujinshi char, it would be inori....havent seen that happen yet...btw, that ending was just...depressing

I mean, shu has no mother or father, loses his arm because his classmates betrayed him, loses hare, loses inori...not only that, he goes blind for no fucking reason?! Gets dressed like an 85 year old geriatric to go to the park and listen to an audio recording of his dead girlfriend several years after the fact?

I watched the ending and felt nothing, it simply makes me realize there wasn't really much in this story that affected me.Aside from Hare's death and thinking scarface was comedy as hell, I get the feeling that I watched this series because it gave me something to do on Thursdays.

All in all, I feel the ending was pretty "meh" and that guilty crown looked kinda pretty, but that's it.

When I feel pumped as mother fucker, or cry like a man bitch, THAT'S when I know that I enjoyed a show. Guilty Crown....nothin

I'd say the ed is pretty good, considering several lacking past episodes.

I actually kinda glad GC ending went with reverse CG (pun intended). This show just wasnt long enough, need about 24-25 episodes, with shortened prologue (ep1-13). Im just a bit disappointed with Scarface death and what comes of Daryl. Also, the last episode was way too fast paced. It could use more character in-depth. But oh well. It's good enough. One thing that does not dissapointing in this show is the graphic. I've seen the BD, trust me.

Last ep. was a big disappointment. Could of been better if Shu died with Inori, both survived, or Shu moved on to Ayase. The fight also sucked.

the shows start of good, became bad in the middle, and end up less than moderate
if i say, the shows overall is under 4/10,
  • the idea is original, but executed poorly.

  • the artwork is mostly decent, into spectacular, but that's it.

  • the soundtrack was good, but overused, especially that Departures one.

  • character development is fucked up, the protagonist has evolved from a useless pussy, into a "So Cool" persons, into a fucked up tyrant, then at last became so called "HERO" who fail to save da day.

the most annoying things is on the last episode

"Happy Birthday Hare!!" da fuck with that, it doesn't even makes sense
this episode doesn't have so called "Fight" in it, its mean that the only good point is missing in here
and so far Shu always failed at anythings, he failed to save Gai, he failed to became so called "king", at the end he failed to save Inori, he even fail to die!! Shoes is the most fail protagonist of the years, whats up with that?

and what's up with that epilogue? dat damn Shoes became blind old man who listen to her late girlfriend song? what is the conclusion? shoes lived as a ronery life? and die as a virgin?

well i can agree with most people opinions here, the show really hade good potential and was pretty darn good at the start of the second season, but then shit started to pill up and made this anime into mess

the story was pretty much useless with the whole mana, crytal and void genome thing just seemed to me like some people had some cool ideas and through them all together without thinking how to combine them properly.

also they last "battle" was a huge disappointment, such a huge build up for such a stupid conclussion....

also i really have to say that scarface pretty much carried the show until his death, which was btw total fucking stupid (omg i want to see the cool light of the void genome and just die after that for no reason, buy guy.....boom....dead)

i can pretty much agree with that, i just watched the show until its end just because there wasn´t really much else to do.

but oh well anime will be remembered for having a good second season start and thats about it... rest in peace GC, you were a pretty controversial show
