And hopefully not because Destiny is a pile of garbage. First 12 eps were good, then it degrades to fan-fiction and bias favoritismAnd you still finished it? or did you drop it after episode 12? Or you just finished watching it because it's GUNDAMU and you have to watch it even though it's a pile of garbage. LOLOLOLOL
>Fan-fiction
No shit I finished it. I didn't think of it much after I finished since it was Gundam. Only after thinking about it did I realize it was garbage. Seeing as how you're mocking me, just because it's anime, that's no excuse to produce garbage. Especially for a franchise that's been going on for 25 years at the time. And for you to even make such a comment, I don't think you realize the disaster Destiny presented. Constant clip-shows even within the fucking last 10 episodes of the series, blatant laziness with reused stock footage, and of course the writing which became completely obvious that Morasawa wrote so to speak, fan-fiction.
This is why you watch the special editions, its much more bearable. Also, the reason why the ending became so bad was because the author had a fall out with the voice actors, apparently she though Cagalli's actress had an affair with her husband.

The writer of Destiny is the wife of the person who wrote SEED. Person who wrote SEED didn't have much to do with the production of Destiny... not quite sure...

Meh, I'm probably very very wrong. But the part about Cagalli's voice actress having an affair might be correct.

Christ, another remastering? Of one of THE WORST Gundam series in existence? I don't say worst because Destiny takes that one. It's to the point that I pretend it never happened, although the SRWZ version of Destiny is acceptable. In fact, Shin's seiyuu has stated that the SRWZ Shin is the "true" Shin Asuka. While I do not particularly like Gundam AGE, it is by no means terrible, just a little bland at times and could use better pacing. Seed, however, has proven itself to be an insult to Gundam thanks to the workings of Fukuda being an absolute fucktard and hiring his wife as the main writer. Women tend to be emotional creatures, so something like an argument with another coworker would lead to something like Cagalli being absolutely ruined... It's actually quite ironic that Cagalli and Athrun had the most stable romance at the end of Seed, yet it fell apart terribly in Destiny.

Okay, so I read from here the remastered quality isn't that good, however I was wondering if there is any change in the storyline or animation?
I have no problem with Seed as it expose Gundam to newer generation. Problem I have with Seed mostly stem from the fans, worshiping Kira like he's the best Gundam pilot ever. Honestly these little children are misguided, they talk Seed crap in front of me, I gave them a tour through U.C and in few minutes later they starting to love RX-78 and telling me how cool the Titans MK II looks.
Seed Destiny however was utter garbage. I enjoyed the first few episodes and I do enjoy seeing Shin Asuka as the main. Yes, I love watching him going on rage each time he sorties until they degrade the poor bastard in later episodes and turn it into Gundam Seed Freedom. Yes why the hell would you call it Gundam Destiny when the actual main is the Stroke Freedom Gundam. What hurts more that Gundam Destiny can't even give a good fight, considering Shin could fight well with Impulse even against Freedom. With Destiny however he fails hard... The only saving grace of Destiny is Lunamaria.
And I agree with what Blaze said SRW Shinn is the true Shinn which is how he is supposed to be written in that stupid crap called Destiny.
I lost hope in the Gundam franchise after Destiny. When they started 00 I hesitated to watch the series. Took me 2 years before I finally got curious and started watched the series. 00 returned my faith in Gundam. One of the reason why I love the 00 series.

Remaster of SEED! Fucking A! Now I can hate Flay on HD and keep rewinding the moment of her death over and over or maybe i should just watch it completely because SEED rewinds itself anyway. My main problem with the series is the constant reuse of clips and we're not even talking about flashbacks here. If you see one GINN explode then you've seen how all GINNs will explode because they will just keep going back on that one clip for every GINN.
As for Kira, actually imo he's a character with good depth and growth. Definitely NOT the best gundam pilot ever but I'd say he's one of the most humane Gundam pilots I've watched. Seeing him cry every time after killing an enemy reminds me that he's "forced" to fight in a war he did not choose to join which is not something I commonly see in gundam protagonists. What irks me the most about him though is his ability to own an elite ZAFT member with minimal effort without ever training to pilot anything in the first place- unlike other protagonists who actually earned their rights to be good, Kira just seems to inherit his skills from the fucking aether. One doesn't just simply surpass Char Aznable's record in military career advancement by leaping from a lowly ensign to admiral in one go.

When I first watched SEED and its various sequels/spinoffs (such as the Astray series and Stargazer etc.) I thought to my self, its plots are completely unoriginal and rather bland... nothing, I repeat, nothing can surpass the original. Newtypes were swapped out for coordinators while Earth Federation became Earth Alliance and Zeon become ZAFT etc.. While all this I can tolerate, the one thing I could not stand was Kira's familiarity with piloting; he was supposed to be a civilian student who had no experience piloting Gundams much less kill a ZAFT ace pilot the second he sat into an MS. It almost seemed like soldiers were sent into battle for Kira's personal glory. I thought professional soldiers could do better than that. Has any pilot besides the Aces caused any trouble for Kira at all? Don't think so. Back in 0079 Amuro actually had to learn how to pilot a Gundam effectively. He may have destroyed a Zaku the moment he took the reins of the RX78 but that was only because they were taken by surprise.
There is one thing I'll commend the SEED series for though. The MS designs were actually pretty neat in my opinion. To this day nobody can shake my hatred of the SEED series and yet I have a Strike Freedom 1/100 and an Impulse Sword Silhoutte 1/100 sitting on my bookshelf. Those two were my favourite Mobile Suits in the series.

But there's already a Gundam Seed SE, why make another? If anything they should remaster G Gundam or Gundam Wing.

Like I said earlier, there's already one song that got some changes, although not that significant. The Ed song was changed to a remix version of the same song.

Besides that I read somewhere the soundtrack was gonna be changed a bit. I gotta look for that source though.

But don't worry! Gundam SEED: Special Edition Remastered coming up next.
Just kidding.
Gundam Wing got a retelling manga series though, Glory of the Defeated. Maybe we'd hear something about remaster or else for Wing after it's finished.

Yeah, they should've done that promised SEED movie for 10th anniversary. If this happens which I really doubt since it's been in development hell for years with no new information about it, 2 things have to happen.
1) No Fukuda or Morasawa (number one prime example of who to not direct or write for a Gundam series)
2) Focus on new characters. No more Kira and Lacus please. We have enough nonsense with these two in Destiny.
