Gundam Seed

I guess I'll wait until this "HD" version comes out and we'll have some more info before actually choosing to watch it or not. My guess is, it will be something like the Renewal of Evangelion, hopefully with less recycled scenes (and pretty please, DO NOT change the fights, they were good as they were in the original).

I really doubt that the level of "change" will be the same as Renewal of EVA. It's just going to be a resized cashcow. I doubt that they even have the guts to actually do an "actual remake".

I don't care about the OP's and ED's, even though i quite like the current ones, it's the actual soundtrack that matters.
They're probably gonna change it to some j-pop bullcrap, fuckin horrible.

Well, Renewal was the original Neon Genesis Evangelion remastered in HD plus some added footage in four of the last episodes. It wasn't a remake, save for those little add-ons the whole series was left pretty much untouched (minor enhancements in video and audio aside).

IMHO, if what they claim is true, this remastering of SEED will be the same, that is, cleaner graphics and little else (and since there will be 48 episodes instead of 50, something will be cut; of course, I don't know what).

Well, I just pointed out a fact that the ED song got remixed. It doesn't have a direct relevance to the OST, but it is a little foreshadow-ish.

Laziness suits the main SEED shows well.

Seriously, Kira and Lacus need to have at least a kiss, because they look like an old married couple that never does anything.

Hmm, I'll be waiting to see if there are changes. Hoping to see some extra materials added to the remastered version. If the only changes are just the OP(Which seems not much) it would just be a waste of money and resources to me.

GundamGuy blog has some screen by screen comparisons on some redone animation. But so far it's not anything that's spectacular.

I'll be looking at those.

The way I see it, Gundam is like crack. You have mixed feelings about it, but its always there, in one form or another. It's not something you want to try, but you just gotta. Once you watch it, you're all like "This is the shit," but when its over, you have regrets. The thing is, no matter how many times you try Gundam, there's always more, and you always have high expectations for the next batch.

I'm probably gonna check out this new Seed release. I kind of liked the original, so if they're saying its gonna be better, I have the basic "maybe this is gonna be awesome" mindset.


On a completely different note:
Personally, I think the best Gundam was Endless Waltz, but that's just my opinion.

I just watch it for the druggies.

Even my GF didn't like this series. She said that it was crappy and useless. She hates Fuckdom because it looks pretty much like Hi Nu Gundam.

For myself, i never had any problem with watching Gundam Seed after all i have to admit that some of the Gundam design is quite good. (Especially Hyperion Gundam.... well it is on manga anyway.)

Until some abomination called Gundam Seed Destiny comes out. They just revive someone who should be already dead by adding one scar and said it is a miracle he survive...... "facepalm".

Not to mention that they blatantly copy... even the name of some old MS. Zaku, Dom, Gouf. This is like... can u even at least come out with a new name?

Well enough rant. I will just hope that one day, Tomino will come out and make one more series for us with his Kill' them all style to please fans once more.

Wut!?? At least on original series the ones who beat the Tri Black Star is Amuro the strongest pilot in the whole U.C Era and also in the original one that episode shows that Newtype is not something to be made fun as even with three ace they can not even beat Amuro alone.
