Hanasaku Iroha

The bigger Inn was poaching one of their chefs, but nope, he's just dating/picking up the daughter.

Just guessing he will make an appearance at the inn from the book that was on his bed at the end of the last episode. It looked like the same area the inn is at.

There isn't much that can apply more shoujo-ai-ness to a series than having a character being called "Onee-sama" or "[name]-onee-sama". I applaud the survival gamers though for their tactical perverseness, Tomoki would be proud. Also, poor ex-ero-writer, he got the worst of it this time.

Even when hospitalized, grandmother is all business, but she really does have the customers best interest at heart. Thought this would turn into a grandmother x Ohana history lesson, but that would seem a little too soon. On the other hand, nice to see Ohana taking charge and showing some leadership. Also Ko shows up, so can't wait to see what part he plays. I can only hope grandma gets better. Why do I have bad feeling about all this... >_<

Poor, poor Ko. He goes all that way for nothing. On the other hand, Ohana is really appreciative of him this episode, like you would think this was a hentai with how many times she screams his name. Here's hoping that the girl at Ko's work isn't there just to raise relationship tensions, like Tohru is.

Yeah, I'm a little concern with the emergence of his co-worker, but I'm hoping that at most it will be a one-sided crush, (although it could be a parallel for Ohana's situation, making it seem like their lives aren't all that different in the end).

I was quite glad, though, that things worked out at the Inn, and I'm starting to see more and more that Tohru has a thing for Ohana. I'm not sure which pairing I'd like to see happen in the end more at this point.

To be honest, I'm rooting for Ko. But I think that's more because Ko confessed already, are childhood friends, and Ko seems to not get a break rather than preferring him for his personality or anything.

Ko could've just headed over to Kissouso and waited for Ohana, if he wanted to see her that bad. I know he had work the next day, but he could've, either just taken the day off, or not have come in the first place.

I like the fact that Ohana generally has good intentions, but she does tend to be too childish sometimes.

I'm rather disappointed that the character development has been stagnant for quite a while now. I'm glad to see that Ko appears to think so, as well. Coupled with the forced drama that episode eight introduced, I find myself severely underwhelmed from how powerfully the show had started off at the beginning and it's current state. I suppose this just goes to show that having too much time for an anime (24 episodes) can be a bad thing.

In any case, the ninth episode was very enjoyable. I found myself smiling several times throughout, and if the end of the episode is any indication, we should be getting some nice conflict headed our way sometime soon, which should spear-head some enjoyable drama.

Poor Ohana thought they didn't need her when the staff was worried about her well-being. At first I denied it, but why and the world to I see the Ohana and Toru thing? Don't reverse your social link with Minko! However, I wonder if Ohana will try to temporarily leave home...

What in the heck does the little girl and fox suppose to represent in Ohana's dream? Was that something symbolic? If so, I could not figure that out for the world, despite my analytical skills. Not even a clue unless it is something artistic or cultural.....

The most hilarious part of this episode was when Tohru was eyeraping the shit out of Ohana, lol.

Also, it seems to be getting more and more apparent that Tohru has a thing for Ohana, with how he got so worked up with her being ill/blushing around her. I think minchi has always picked up on this fact as well...

Well, I think I should begin to say sorry for Tohru. Ohara's all "KoKoKoKoKoKoKoKoKoKoKoKoKoKo."

I felt that they could organize the scenes a bit better; showing them in Ohana's viewpoint when conscious made it a little confusing. While almost nothing happened in this episode, many things actually happened in this episode (oh joy, contradiction)

I noticed the whole Minchi watching Tohru too. I do not know why, but I sort of want to foresee a slight rift form between Ohana and Minchi due to this in a later epsiode, but again, I might be over thinking this too much.

Well, personally, I never actually saw too much of a bond between Minchi and Ohana. Despite being friends, they aren't particularly close. I foresee more connection between minch and ohana now that minchi knows Tohru has a thing for young energetic girls. fucking pedo.
