She is, without a shred of doubt. Anime-wise she is. In the light novels she is way more cunning. Well... to put it, she's the one who always gets an upper hand on things. And kissing, well... no other girl can boast of Natsuru's first kiss than Shizuku ^_^

True... And she herself targets Natsuru when he's a girl or boy... BISEXUAL... Sakura only targets the girl Natsuru though but her Kampfer form targets guy Natsuru for reasons unexplained...

On a side note, I just re-watched episode 6... I noticed Shizuku's slight sigh (see the part after Natsuru was forced by his class to keep Shizuku company on the couch). I think she's still somewhat irked by the fact that Natsuru's still too wary of her despite her non-volatile intentions, even after she kissed him. That's my opinion anyway.

Well, I can't really blame Natsuru. Shizuku's just waaayyy too sly.

Moving on... the next three or five episodes, I'm hoping that the "Kiss Natsuru Wars" gets some stat increases ^_^

The sideview just leaves little to the imagination ^_^

But she's quite skilled with the katana, apparently as well. She even managed to land a slice on Akane's face, and to think Natsuru has just basic skills with his fire ability in a longer span of time of being a Kampfer.

Mm. Mikoto is definitely one of my favorite characters, and the naked apron was fantastic. I love that on women. Other than that, it's interesting that her Kampher is pretty much the total opposite of her regular personality, much like Akane. I really want to see a duel over Natsuru with the two of them. Although, I have a feeling that Mikoto would win since Akane can't seem to hit a damn thing with her gun, lol. But it would be good target practice. ^_^

And I'm oh so excited about the sleepover next week.

The manga is great, but I couldn't stomach the first episode of the anime. Girl Natsuru is supposed to have his male voice, and Harakiri Tora's VA made my ears bleed (like listening to Budoko from Akikan all over again). I'll concede, though, that if I hadn't read the manga first, I'd be following this anime.

From what I've seen and partly understood in the light novels, yep you're right. But not entirely. There's a very good reason and a very debatable subplot behind it, but I digress. We're already in the rabbit hole and I don't want to go down further ^_^

I won't spoil anything more until "they" show up in the anime... I guess it'll be far off yet, maybe the higher-up episodes if this anime series is booked for a full-length 24 or 26 episodes.

For now let's enjoy the anime.

And once again, Akane gets totally shafted this episode. She gets kissed by Shizuku and fails to be kissed by Natsuru. Another Sword shows up and has no problems dealing with our blue Kampfers and isn't chased away until Shizuku shows up. Will we ever see our blue Kampfers actually able to handle a Sword?

Finally... the White Kampfers show up. The all-important plot juice for the time being.

Really, it's hard for the blue to keep up with Schwerts. The Schwert types are made for melee fighting, best for team or 1-on-1 fights. Gewehrs like Akane are for distance fighting while Zaubers are like variables; depending on the power, it can help or burden a team fighting a certain Schwert or Gewehr.

They defeated Shizuku last time, yep, but with ingenuity on the sprinklers. So for Natsuru, handicap with power but mentally a sharp blade. Let's see how it plays out.

One thing I'm sure: it's on.
Red+Blue vs White.

Yummy yum yum for now. Akane gets kissed, not by Natsuru. Aww nice anyway.

Technically speaking, i am a weapon otaku myself (and yes, i am not ashamed)...
True magic is a variable weapon, but they are using ELEMENTAL magic and Natsuru has one of the strongest natural elements to boot... It can be made into a makeshift melee item such as when you immolate your hand to white flame and proceed attacking with the immolated hand... Also, i think that his flame elemental may have come from a Phoenix, dragon, a kitsune/inari or a fire elemental because even a fireball has enough damage to blow the other two kampfers away (as shown in eps 6)...For Akane, it would be better for her to be mid range since she is carrying a 1911 .45 which if memory serves me right, has no automatic mode like the beretta (forgot the model), a certain glock, the Steyr TMP machine pistol, and a micro-UZI (not the normal UZI)... Unless she uses her pistol like a tonfa or club, she's not gonna go anywhere near melee unless its for the finishing move...

a skilled sword can even deflect bullets by ricocheting them or as shizuku did, cut them in two... If natsuru can, he can even obliterate his opponent by his fire if it werent for his own kindness (albeit dense, thickheaded and oblivious to the girls' feelings) and his quest to know moderator's intentions...

Wait till you see the White team lineup - Akane would be so damn small for their Gewehr user. And the White Zauber user - think of "railgun".

It'd be interesting to see them fight. The light novels take on the fighting seriously as well, so I'd like to see it flesh out great in the anime. Well, until you see who's pulling the White strings :)

Natsuru's on a "Maximum Tolerance" mode here. He'd defeat but not kill.

- Episode 8's a date with Shizuku? Good lord, I'd download it the second gg releases it ^_^
- Akane's confession was cut short. For God's sake, force the kiss already.
- Mikoto's already comfortable with the female Natsuru to the point of attempting to see Natsuru's tits.
- I'd hate to be in Kaede's house - death is EVERYWHERE. Cupboards, paintings, and whatnot.
- The Kampfers' stuffed animals are drinking juice (albeit "pissing" it out as fast as they drank it) and EATING CURRY? Can anybody clear that one up?
- I surmise the Zomutsu animals are communicating telephatically to Kampfers. I mean, if Kaede really heard them talking she's freak out like any other non-Kampfer.
- Shizuku probably hates losing. She really French kissed Akane just to get the greater lot of that "Packy" stick :)
- And speaking of Shizuku... she feels some jealousy over things the other girls do freely with Natsuru. Guess the date will solve that one up.
- That burnt lion... I guess that's not the last time I'll see that.

@jmason: their gunner carries a Micro-UZI...
their caster utilizes lightning...

And yes... He really is on maximum tolerance mode... What a Worm and Undetermined Shaking Sissy Youth or WUSSY

The anime chipped out a very important Shizuku moment....

Ya know, the Animal Rights Movement would cry and sue for 'subliminal messaging the 'kill animals in many ways' through the anime'... seriously... A burned lion, a stabbed and battlescarred tiger, a stabbed and overdrugged rabbit, a shocked cat and a strangled dog... WtF?!


And i know who is the mind behind them....

Watched episode 7

Hmmm, i'm actually impressed with this episode, not only was it funny but plot wise its actually moving forward a bit :D(yay). I was at this point thinking that there were only 4 kampfer fighters, now they added the white kampfer, even though she only appeared for a few minutes of the show, It got me thinking that there are probably a lot more kampfers than we know. Also got me thinking if there were anymore colored teams, black? green? Skyblue? Pink?

Including plot development, the Burnt Alive Lion scene maybe important in the future so might have to watch for that.


Impatiently waiting for episode 8
