[Anime] Kämpfer + für die Liebe

PETA could suck dick for all they want, it's an anime for God's sake.

@zeKer: I'm wondering if Kaede's inner self is a capable fighter... I mean, sure the four White Kampfers are, but regarding being defeated, not really sure. I haven't gotten that far yet with my light novels :P But from what was hinted, she carries a sword of some sort.

I admit though her looks are scary when she's in her inner self mode. Pics in light novel are devious, and she gives Natsuru frequent nightmares.

Oh, and did I mention the inner Sakura's also interested (partly romantically) in Natsuru? There's a plot brick right there ^_^

A new Kampfer on episode 7 which seems interesting since she' a white. Somehow it makes me wonder if 12 episode is enough for this anime. Bathroom scene is kinda short D:<

Anyway, since this Kampfer anime series is a 12-episode series (much like the Sekirei fighting-girls series), I presume three things:

1. They could "rush" the angle of having Sakura's inner self. Since they already shown at least one of the White Kampfers, and the next episode is a date between Shizuku and that dense Natsuru, the remaining 4 episodes could be in for a huge cramming in terms of plot progression. Hopefully they can do it fine. But this road could minimize the possibilities for a second season, which I'm strongly rooting for.

2. They can have the remaining episodes as a "fun-for-all" fanservice episodes - like go to the beach, have fun, the three unkissed girls try to steal a kiss from Natsuru, et.c. They can stretch out the middle of the light novel volumes for some fun, and prep the Sakura plot for next season. Actually, this option works out better for me - a much higher possibility for a second season.

3. They can have the plot development for setting up the remaining three White Kampfers... appearing one by one. They can at least hold back the plot bomb that is Sakura's inner self by the next season. Hopefully we get to see some action here.

Well at least the light novels ain't finished yet so a second season would be logical to have at least a plot subconclusion to the inner Sakura, and resolve plot issues like the Moderator (who probably have a fetish for seifuku), what happens to defeated Kampfer (which I have a little bit of an idea what does happen), and the real goal of fighting as a Kampfer.

I dunno if I should hate Natsuru. He's so caught up into believing that his date with Shizuka wasn't one. I mean what's with that? And I don't see what's so great about Kaede. Right now I just hate her for the way she acts around Kampfer Natsuru, oh god it's so annoying. Btw, next ep, hell yes! Swim suit episode and more white Kampfers.

I think that, with regards to Shizuku specifically, it was her own damn fault. She's the manipulative one, so Natsuru has reached the point where he can't take anything she says at face value and goes along with what she tells him to do simply because he believes she'll wind up forcing him to anyway. He's still an idiot with Mikoto and Akane though. Well, it certainly doesn't help that none of them are straightforward at all.

So Akane has a very, very small place in Natsuru's mind, but her date is going to be fucked up with the other girls and Whites showing up, as expected of the most shafted character in this anime.

- Apparently Natsuru's still wary of Shizuku. He even thought of the date as a "way" to draw out the White Kampfers, owing to Shizuku's strategic nature. But it was painfully obvious it WAS a date. I really am baffled as to how Natsuru's denseness is this severe.

- Shizuku, on her part, forced the date owing to Natsuru's blockheadedness. Even if Natsuru refuted the date's existence (and even fantasizing on Kaede) on several points during the date, she brushes it off knowing it was just Natsuru's character to be so. Faithful love is this strong, eh? Shizuku's the more patient of the three.

- But to be fair, Shizuku's own ambiguity is her own problem if she wants to get closer to Natsuru, as he said it himself while on the date: he's more scared of Shizuku than the shark. As with the novel and anime, the first thing Shizuku needs to deal with if she wants Natsuru is that wall of apprehension.

- So now, Shizuku owns both Natsuru's first kiss and Natsuru's real first date (strolling around campus with Kaede ain't even a date). That girl sure is cunning.

- During the date, Shizuku kept on badgering Natsuru on the should-be's of dating. Which I found amusing and cuddly in nature in contrast to her projected image.

- We get more of Shizuku as this episode goes on. Her intentions on the Kampfer war sure is noteworthy - she apparently hates to be manipulated, and fighting a war without knowing the reward. And also for a revenge - the image shown on her reminiscing is her senpai, who was also a Red Kampfer... she's a defeated one as far as I've read. Her reminiscence and revelations were to naught - NATSURU DOZED OFF. But it gave her the opportunity to have Natsuru sleep on her lap for the whole afternoon.

- I do believe Shizuku kissed Natsuru while he was sleeping.

- The train ride... there was a Kampfer anime advertisement on one of the banners LOL. And on the train, Shizuku's cute traits come to ploy. It was almost a declaration of love, albeit discreetly (her heart was beating fast while embracing Natsuru's arm) but failed to get it inside Natsuru's thick skull. Cue the nice sigh and slight blush.

- Nice. "I don't mind if you stay over" with a longing look. Now that's Shizuku ^_^

- Mikoto's Messenger - LOL "Want to try dying?"... channeling Hell Girl, same voice, same seiyuu. Nice in-anime joke ^_^

- So Akane tends to transform more to that gun-toting bitch on intense internal feelings, eh? Probably to say things she can't say normally.

- Mikoto's fast becoming the "punchline" character, anime-wise. I hope not in the succeeding episodes.

- So the date's not all in vain; Natsuru finally realized Shizuku really meant the trip as a date while thinking about it in bed, but is baffled as to why. Guess that's the new question.

- Next episode features at least 3 of the White Kampfers (based on the preview). And beach, and girls in skimpy swimsuits. One of my earlier wishes has been granted now ^_^ Yippee!

Fun fun fun episode, I have lots of laughs watching this one. I think Shizuku really deserves it when dating Natsuru considering how she have been treating him. Remember the story of the boy and his sheep? However, seem like Shizuku got to kiss Natsuru again.

And Mikoto came to save the day? Haha Mikoto is fun to watch and she said something funny in this episode which I kinda forgot. She's my favourite character in the anime.

Well, Akane gets shafted as expected, but even earlier than I expected. The date doesn't even start before the unwanted visitors show up. This episode also further demonstrates that Natsuru doesn't trust Shizuku at all. Having been kissed in front of his love interest and being the bait didn't help matters at all in that regard. "Dark Sakura" is interesting. I do hope there's a half-decent explanation why she's capable of hypnotizing Natsuru.

Also, what was up with that tsundere White? Random much?
