So, I finally got around to reading the manga and I've just finished the first volume,
wich made me wonder why didn't I start before. :)
Ahh... I had forgotten how giant nosebleeds could be so cute.

The volumes end at 14. It's titled "Chibi Vampire" by Tokyopop. Currently collecting it but I'm still missing volumes 4,5,8 and 10.

Read it, it's more fun than the anime version ^_^

The ending was dramatic and the extra chapter was funny, hell it's worth it. But you'll have to at least have the 13th volume to fully absorb it.

the anime version does it no justice ... what i mean is in a scale of 1-10 the manga is 10000/10 and the anime is jus on the brink of 7/8

Almost all anime versions don't do a good job trying to represent their manga counterparts

I love Karin ( Chibi Vampire )

The best Romantic/Comedy manga I've ever read.
the anime version is should have been better, longer, and less explicit.( not that I care. )

Spoiler:
Secretly, I'm in love with Elda...Photobucket

Definitely one of the better mangas I've read. It really is a shame that the anime botched it so hard... pointless antagonists are pointless when the bulk of the story is about struggle against premise. And besides the story being fail, the artwork was fail too. One of the great things about the manga was the opposing nature of the bright happy romantic comedy against the dark and dreary artistic setting.

Lastly, am I the only one who wished her fangs came out more often? I mean, she was cute all the time, but man, she was freaking hawt when baring her fangs. That had some of the best scenes of a girl filled with passionate hunger I've ever scene, better than pretty much any hentai I can think of.

Title: Chibi Vampire/かりん(Karin)

Author/Illustrator: Yuna Kagesaki

Genre: Romantic comedy, Supernatural

Synopsis:
Spoiler:
Karin Maaka is the middle child of a family of vampires which immigrated to Japan 200 years ago. Karin, although technically a vampire herself, is very different from the rest of her family. Instead of lacking blood, her body overproduces it. In order to get rid of the excess blood, once a month, she must give in to her urges and find someone to bite. Instead of drinking their blood, she gives them some of hers, leaving both her and her “victim” feeling refreshed and energetic. Despite these troubles, she still goes to school and holds down a part-time job. Everything is going reasonably well for Karin, until a transfer student, Kenta, joins her class. For some reason, her body instantly reacts to him, and begins producing more blood than she can stand. He eventually finds out about her body’s problem, which leads to quite a bit of difficulty. Now, yet another complication has been added to Karin’s already very complicated life.

Opinion: I really liked it, personally. After a while you get a good feel for the characters and there's a very shocking twist ending. :x One of my friends who read it cried a little, I think. The plot is mostly original, although some scenes seem to transition a little too much. Overall, it's one or my favorite reads of the summer.

Any other opinions/thoughts? Any spoilers, please keep in spoilers. Don't wanna ruin the story for other people. :P

Definitely another manga worth reading. The story is sweet, adorable, and nice. Karin is my second favorite vampire of all time. She's just so kawaii especially when she nosebleeds. ^_^

Don't you love how Usui will constantly tell her that it's okay to bite him, but that just makes her even more embarrassed when she does/doesn't? x3

Hmm I don't think I ever finished this series, despite loving it so much, mostly since the manga place I would read and get it from closed down (damn economy) so I just didn't feel like looking online for the rest, I some of the novels too, and intend to read those when I can.
