*nods* Indeed, such moe. How many volumes were in the manga, and how many different novels were there? Any one know?

14 volumes including side stories and # of novels, I have no idea. >>

Ah thankies, damn now I am even more upset about the loss of Tokyopop ;_;

It was an okay series but I wished that the ending was better. It just feels like they could've put more effort into it and leaves me kinda hanging somehow. I mean:
Spoiler:
couldn't she just spend her life with Usui without losing her memories? Wouldn't that have been better?

I feel that the ending was rushed VERY quickly:
Spoiler:
One moment, she's completely happy. Usui's *missing* from view, then her brother's like, "Even though I bully you, I don't hate you." And erases her memories. Then, Usui bursts in out of nowhere and they tell him to take care of her. I wished that Kagesaki had extended their married lives together in possibly two other separate volumes. However, so many people ask the question, "Why'd they HAVE to erase her memories?" My response is that she went through so much because she was a 'failed' vampire, that her family decided that they would sacrifice everything to make her happy. Any thoughts?

I still don't like it. After all:
Spoiler:
Losing your memories of your family just to be happy?

WTF?!

Yeah, I also:
Spoiler:
Feel really bad for Usui because now he has to live his entire life knowing that Karin's family is watching over them, but he can never tell her anything that's happened.

Really sucks. :/

Sad thing is because of the lousy ending there were rumors that people would've preferred she died at the end or something. Who knew an ending could be so bad people desired death?

If there had been an ending where they both died together in an 'intimate' way, that's manageable, but not on her/his own.

At least the anime's ending was better. :)

Heard about it, but I'm not sure if I should torrent it. Your opinion on it?

Well it was good in some ways bad in some ways y'know? Pretty much like every other anime adaptation there were differences and similarities to the story (new characters, different plot, etc) but the ending:
Spoiler:
She got to be with Usui without having her memories erased.
One of the few times I prefer the anime over the manga.

If this manga were to be re-licensed in the US, and it were named Karin rather than Chibi Vampire, I would so buy this series again. Both because of OCD and I love this series.
