Gantz is fucking awesome!
I am actually currently reading volume 12 until it showed a naked woman with sexy tits that made me want to go to fakku. >_____>
It's also a shame that we only have one Gantz doujinshi, and has nothing about Kishimoto.

1) I'm a newfag so pardon any errs on my part.
2) I hadn't registered before seeing the post today (yes I am a lurker...) but I had to after this. It's weird cause a friend of mine and I were just talking about this manga. Of the ones I've read, I have to say it's my favorite so far. I love the character development and the fact that we have yet to see any of the characters turn into OP douchebags (knock on wood). All in all, it's great. Totally wish I could be at the movie showing though. I'm definitely going to have to torrent it or something cause I'm dieing for anything Gantz.

I really liked the manga but the anime was terrible, certainly the second part of it. I remember it had a nonsensical ending...
So I'm not sure what I should think about this movie... Well let's hope for the best =)

Thanks for the post. It was a great read. It was really interesting to see the Osaka team in a different light. Especially Kuabara (can't remember if that's how you spell it).

It was shown on the South African version of Animax though. Glad i got to see it then, seeing as the dvds (or maybe just the dvd covers of kishimoto :P ) got me interested. Just started reading it online now, thanks to the link posted somewhere before. Bit daunted by the 330+ chapters though.

Mary just proven to be one of my new female protagnists in Gantz, there's a serious lack for strong female Gantzers other than Reika, Anzu comes in a third since she was part of the now extinct Osaka team, one of the strongest teams in Japan before the invasion happened. And I'm actually hoping she and Kaze could hook up, they would make a kick ass martial arts couple.
My other concern for the Catastrophe arc is what Nishi can do, now that Gantz is dead and the members are screwed more than ever if they can't teleport out of the alien colony or recover their injured teamates, the latest chapter had shed some light about him appearing to access a site, but I just have to wait to see what tricks he has since he seems to be redeeming himself since he rescued Takashi when the room was attacked.

Don't forget about Sakurai who's basically a "Walking Death" right now.
