[Manga] Naruto (SPOILERS!)

damn it i wanted hina to end up with naruto
now this could sound maybe a little bit silly, but this has probably taken care with it ^^
But I personally think that she isn't dead ... and Kakashi too, I mean come on how many times did almost die because of his freaking Sharingan ... but first goes first, let six-tails Naruto at first kik Pains butt and then we see what will happen next ^^
Or maybe Six-tails almost looses to Pain but get saved by the other Ninjas because they could kill Nagato and Konan and then Sakura or Hinata make Naruto to calm down ... well okay that makes no sense, I mean Naruto is totally nuts atm :D

Alright, I decided to post my rant here because this is where it most applies to. (Naruto, not to you guys here, you guys are awesome, but idiots on other sites):
I'm getting really tired of people saying if so and so (ie. Kakashi) dies that they are going to stop reading the manga. Look, this isn't your manga, it is Kishimoto's. He's the one that creates its, what happens in plot, who lives and dies, is his decision, you have no say whatsoever in it. Whatever you want to happen doesn't matter, you can hypothesize and theorize, that is great, I love doing that, but when you start saying that Kishimoto should've done this or that, you've crossed a line. If you're going to threaten to stop reading, just shut up about it and do it.
I understand becoming attached to a character, and some people only read certain manga for their favorite character (why? read it for the plot, or lack there of, and interactions between different characters, not just one), but there comes a point where criticism (which is healthy and I like doing) becomes incessant complaining/whining.
There are things I liked, disliked, and hated in different manga, including Naruto, but the parts I truly love, are the parts I disliked and hated because this is not my story, I'm only here for the ride.
If any of my favorite characters dies, I'll be like "Holy Shit!......What's going to happen now!?" not "Damn you [insert author[/h]]! My favorite character died...I refuse to read this manga anymore! [insert author][/h] sucks!"
Hinata was one of my favorite characters and whatever happens to her (dies, goes comatose, becomes evil, nothing, becomes one of Pain's bodies, some other outrageous thing[/h]), I'll continue to read because I enjoy entertainment of many forms and because I want to see/read what happens next.
Again, none of you have done this (yet, I hope, otherwise I'll have to rip you a new one) and I love the community here, its just people on different sites get on my nerves and I just felt like saying this somewhere. (and yeah, they'll never read this and neither will most of you {if you made it this far congratulations, I love you more!}[/h], but whatever, I feel better now)

^Pretty much agree.
If i had stopped reading Naruto everytime one of my favourite characters die i would've quit it ages ago with the death of Sasori, or Kimimaro, and then i would've missed alot of epic stuff.
So yeah, their reasoning is crap.

Main characters or main side characters dying is one of the reasons I keep reading Naruto. Having important people die gives depth to a Manga IMO. When you get past the obvious incredible fanbase Naruto has due to many reasons, and when you get past the retards who like to say whatever they please about it (mostly dumb stuff most of the time). Naruto is an amazing manga with a great story.
The anime is crap though too many fillers and side arcs. However, like I said Naruto kept my interest due to having a lot of deaths in it. Be it Sasuke's past and having all his family die. Gaara's childhood who was complicated and filled with sorrow. Even Orochimaru's childhoood and "death".
Having Jiraiya die was really an incredible blow. He was one of my favourites characters.
Anyways, yeah not to bash One piece; I like it I just feel it lost it's touch after the whole Crocodile Arc; One piece is amazing but I always felt it was INCREDIBLY childish, all the male characters seem to be gay except Sanji who looks like he's the only one who realises the opposite sex is attractive. Everyone from the main cast always survives against incredible odds. That just doesn't help a manga's depth IMO.
Having characters die is always good when done skillfully and I think Naruto's Mangaka has done so.

I think characters dying in Naruto is far from a bad thing. If there were only five or six characters, it'd be a huge deal, but the series has more than twenty fucking good guys. Killing a couple of them just allows Kishimoto to spend more time on the remaining characters.
Think about Shino. We have seen very little of him throughout the entire series. And why? Because there are a ton of other characters that are more popular. So, if those more popular characters die, Shino gets a chance to step up and strut his stuff.
None of the characters are really weak (character-wise, not strength-wise . . . except for Tenten. She's useless), so if some of them die, it's not like the story is going to turn to shit because all that's left are crappy characters.

I usually don't get attached to characters for some reason, I'll always finish a story to see how the story ends no matter who dies along the way. (even though Jiraiya's death totally bummed me out.)
How many fights has she been in through the entire series? 3? One of which was against herself and the other was a 4 vs 1 with her on the 4 side. I don't think we've even seen her in a good fight yet... Not that I disagree, having nothing but weapons seems a little lame considering the abilities of every other character...
I like Shino. :( I want him involved more.

I like Shino, too, and I wish he had a bigger role.
As for Tenten, it's not just about how many fights she's been in. She just seems like a filler character. She never says or does anything special, and she doesn't seem to have any special attacks. And that's really sad, because weapons are badass, and summoning a particularly cool one would be awesome.

but then again this manga is called Naruto for a reason.
Once again it is the authors choice which character development is shown and stuff like this.
and besides shino can´t really compete with the others atm, sure he has his insects and stuff like this but compared to the most powerful characters like naruto, pain, sasuke etc he isn´t strong enough to stand a chance against them.

I don't expect him to do a lot of stuff now. It's more like sadness that he didn't have a bigger role in the past.
And yeah, the series is called "Naruto," but it focuses on a lot of other characters, too. Rock Lee, Kiba, Neji, Choji, and others have done a lot more than Shino has, so why not come up with something for Shino to do?
Also, the author does have the right to do whatever he wants, but often, mangakas have to obey the readers and use the most popular characters. I assume Shino hasn't had a large role in the series because early on, other characters were more popular, and Kishimoto used them instead of Shino in the Rescue Sasuke arc. Then again, he could have had it all planned from the beginning, but it seems unlikely. But thinking about it, I'm not sure what sort of moves Shino would have that would make him a viable threat to enemies. Maybe Kishimoto came up with the character and couldn't think of how to use him against tough opponents.
Nevertheless, I'd rather see Shino in a fight instead of Choji.

Shino has always been one of my favourites, so im glad he atleast got two fights (or 1½).
It could be worse, Tenten has gotten any lol, just some random fighting scenes here and there.
I was quite dissapointed when we didn't get to see the aburame clan's fight off with Konan, but whatever, Pain nuking Konoha made up for it :D

I agree with ^ people above ^ that there hasn't been much character development/fights with some of the side characters, but maybe they'll get their moment some time.
So, 438, it... WTF!? Where the hell did Anko come from!? And Naruto pretty much destroyed another chunk of whats left of the village and probably a bunch of people too. And he got smacked with a rock like a little bitch.

I wish the translators would include what Pain's attacks mean. Bansho Tenin? Chibaku Tensei? What do they mean!
I think Bansho refers to the leader of a gang (thank you, Minami-ke) and tenin/tensei refers to some sort of heavenly punishment (thank you, Rurouni Kenshin), but I'm just guessing. Leaving sfx untranslated is fine, because you don't need to see "WHAM!!!" to know Naruto just got his ass kicked, but an enemy's attacks seem kind of important.

Pain's new attack (that we didn't get to see) is translated into "Supernova" or something like that.

A more accurate translation would apparently be "Surface Burst Heavenly Star", but since i don't know jap i don't know which one is correct (both could be wrong for all i know)
Wichever it is, both names sound like sum heavy shit :P

Either way, it gives us a better idea of what the attack's going to be like. Explosive and kickass. :D
