all of this...a really good fluffy episode, I almost HNNNNNNGGGGG'd at subaru's impression of a sheep. way freakin cute.

I enjoyed episode 2 just about as much as the rest of us.
Spoiler:
I like Subaru and Jirou, they play well off each other. The whole thing about the factions reminded me of the series "MM", but really just that nothing else really. Though the whole faction thing is used here and there in shows so it doesn't really add or take away anything from the series/episode, coulda done without it however, but I digress. I am also happy to see some swimsuit action so soon in the series, when it comes to swimsuit/beach episodes, the sooner the better I say. The ending part with Subaru sleeping next to Jirou, that was my favorite.

I did not expect the psuedo-homo-eroticism to be played up this much. (Take a careful look at some of the other guys' faces, not all of them are wearing disapproving/shocked expressions.) And Kuraha falls in love with Subaru. This is great! Although, I am sad that the combat-loving Kureha didn't get to really show off her moves and was beaten easily.

Episode 2 seemed to flow much more naturally than the first, the date was fun to watch. I also found it realistic that Subaru was speaking in her male voice occasionally; since she does it almost all the time it naturally makes sense she would do it without thinking.

I've no idea what to think about Kureha's crush though...that's not going to end well.

Why? Why is it so hard to find a ecchi comedy that doesn't try to develop a character through forced drama?

I found that I was a bit taken back by the drama in the third episode, but it worked itself out for the best, I think. Subaru was able to get over her fear of knives/rebuild her relationship with Kanade, and Jirou got to take a look back at what he promised his father and apply it to his current situation. Yes, Kanade's fake kidnapping plot was a bit over the top, but it did accomplish what she wanted.

Also, I'm wondering if we will find out more about Kanade's love for Subaru, and if we will see any yuri goodness with that. The next episode seems to be without drama and a lot of fun, so I'm looking forward to it.

[spoil]You bet. I was very shocked when I saw it was her doing. It was over the top alright... she could have used other ways, considering its HER and not someone else with lesser powers.


Anyway, this series have been really giving me the laughters, and I'm not going to forget the part on episode 1 where Kanade put her hand on Jirou's groin. I was looking around to see if my family members saw that too... this anime turned out to be pretty dangerous for me... like all the other ecchi ones, which I enjoy. T^T

Btw, I found it weird for Jirou's sister to fall for Sabaru just like that. I mean, it was just too sudden, even if he is handsome, cool, strong, it just didn't make sense when she fell for her just like that...

Love never makes sense at first. She probably fell in love due to the fact Subaru is a stronger individual.

Any one got an idea when we'll see the other characters(the ones shown in the OP)? I am kind of interested in them a lot more than the main 3-4 characters.

It could be just her liking him for the manliness at the start... then some development? But meh, if that's how it is, then that's how it will be, I guess.

Episode 4:

Subaru was too cute in this episode, even from the beginning, (with her nekomime introduction at Jirou's door. I smiled a lot when she was also trying to help Jirou fight off his cold with hot things, which really didn't help too much, (although I have heard of that method before).

I really found it touching at the end, though, when Jirou, even though he was pretty sick, still told Subari not to cry, and that he wasn't going to die like his father, (from sickness). Apparently Kanade liked it too, since I was totally thrown off by her kissing Jirou at the end of the episode. Things are heating up quite nicely.

And looks like a new character is coming in next week, although I wish it was Nakuru instead...

So, which episode is she going to confess her love? 10? 11? I love this series, but it ain't goin' past 12 episodes. As was said earlier, it's too generic.

I did not expect that kiss from Kanade so soon. I was guessing around episode 8 she would pull that kind of stunt. That aside, pretty decent episode, nothing too remarkable except the animation continues to be on the better side and the continuing pseudo-homoerotic undertones.

Not necessarily. While the OP makes really leans toward Subaru, the light novel is still very much still in its harem stages. I was surprised to see the OP and ED geared so much towards one girl whereas that's not the case in the LN.

And yes, there is currently more than enough light novel material for two seasons of Mayo Chiki. The BD sales will determine whether we see them or not.

Coming up next is the worst arc of this series. The fake girlfriend and misunderstandings are gonna come in now - and no, the fake girlfriend will not be Subaru.
