Good news.


I see that as bad news because it shows that the producers don't have much intention to follow the Light Novel, instead opting to creating their own anime-original ending for a one-cour cash-in. This series deserves more than this...

Perhaps. I rarely ever compare the source material to the adaptation across mediums, as I believe a show should be viewed as its own. Of course, in the grand scope of things, rarely ever is an anime-original ending good, because the writers don't know the characters.

Certainly, every show deserves what it's geared to, however.

I was dumbfounded when Jirou's sister made a happy face and started fighting with a bear.... I was like, "Are you fucking crazy?", I did knew that she was a crazy fighter and all, but didn't expect her to be THAT crazy of a fighter. This episode showed me why I should NOT like her, while it also showed how much she really cares about Jirou. I really didn't like it when she just saw the bra and then barged into the bathroom saying "Who's [b]swindling my brother!", now, why should it be any of her business when her brother does ANYTHING with another girl? *sigh*

Sorry, just didn't like it is all.

While on the other hand, this episode seems to officially take its flight to the harem stages, or so it seems to me, after Kanade kissed Jirou, which was... a nice scene~~~

You seem to have trouble understanding characters, resulting characters that you can't understand = don't like.

Once again it's simple:
[b]Why would she challenge a bear?
Because she likes to challenge herself, and that's one of the more positive traits she have. You would probably react the same If she's challenging a Full grown Pro Wrestler despite her size and age. Challenging a bear is simply as anyone using "IT's OVER 9000" in their sentence rather than to use "A lot"

Why would she be angry if her brother is with another girl?
Because that shows she really does care for her brother. She was already traumatized by the loss of her father a prominent male figure in the family. Of course Jirou would be the next most important male figure to her. Jirou getting a girlfriend means her relationship with Jirou will be less closer and currently she doesn't want to lose him to anything, girlfriend or even death.

So, you need to try to see the reasons and intentions in their actions.

Episode 5:

Spoiler:
Episode 5 focused on the introduction of the new character, Usami, and I'm not too fond of her. First, she hits and abuses Jirou, and then blackmails him, but then has the audacity to make him pay for her swimsuit and trust her completely. Something seems really off about her, and her home life doesn't seem to be good either. I wished Jirou told Subaru about the blackmail, rather than making her cry. Hopefully in the next episode this whole ordeal will be straightened out, and Usami will (maybe) be a little bit more likable.

And they keep teasing us with Nakuru...

seriosly, it always irks me how they put characters in the OP and you dont see them until like episode 9, now granted its only ep 5 but seriosly introduce her already.

Definitely liked this episode a lot more than the last one. Got to see more of Nakuru, (finally), and the quiz event between the two Subaru committees was fun. It was also nice to see Subaru in that cute China dress.

And, at least Usami wasn't as rage inducing as the last ep, and Subaru figured out that everything was done in order to protect her, (she looked so cute when she realized that).

Next week looks to be a beach episode, but I'm wondering why Subaru is in a girl's swimsuit with Usami around...

it seems that in that world its ok for men to have boobs (manboobs or manly boobs)... I was waiting for some fangirls at that anime to ask subaru about her outfit or that boobs... it seems that everyone is thinking that "oh could be an expensive artificial boobs, must be bought by Kanade with her money"

anyways she reminds me of my Gintama china girl!! KAGURA!!!

Loved the quiz battle. I can finally say with the utmost confidence that Kanade is truly a sadist, lol. Still does not change my undying love for her though. On the hand, Usami has my heart with her dere faces.

Next week's epsiode does look interesting. Probably their will be some explanation for that, since I am sure she can not blow her cover. It was sort of strange that during Kinjirō's conversation with Usami on the roof that during one instance she referred to Subaru as her instead of him, but think that was a subbing typo from a version I watched. Oh and more Nakuru ^^

I have to applaud Kanade here. Her plan was so flawless that there was no possible way she could lose, unless she wanted to lose, which would mean she'd be the winner anyway. Jiro gets some respect for almost turning things around by making a confession towards Kanade. Too bad Kanade had a perfect way of making even the confession fall to pieces.

Episode 7:

I'm liking this arc a lot more than the Usami arc already. Kanade made a ton of mischief as usual, (although we don't know her real reason for taking Jirou on the trip-only that she wanted to tell everyone else that she was eloping with him), and Subaru was really cute, both in her swimsuit and glasses.

Although I'm really hoping that Nakuru isn't just going to be a secondary character, because I thought one of the funniest moments was when she was trying to improve Jirou with some new glasses. I wonder if that's her mission in life?

And looks like next week will be a continuation of the trip, as well as some additional information about Subaru. Maybe Kanade and Subaru always go on this trip to remember Subaru's mom?

Oh, Kanade, please marry me. Thoroughly enjoyed the epsiode! For a second I actually thought Usami figured Subaru out, but geez she is clueless. Then again, this anime defies all logic, so yeah, lol. Just totally loving Eri Kitamura's voice as Kanade, especially during the part the sunblock. Eargasm has been achieved!
