[Anime] Monogatari Series Second Season

Ohgodyes. He finally kissed best girl Shinobu.

Vampires are so awesome in this anime. There is literally no anime that so perfectly captures the inhumane torrent of blood and tragedy that a vampire is. Really nice segment on the origin of Kokoro-watari, curious as to where Yume-watari went, also since apparitions sustain themselves on belief does Yume-watari restore faith in an apparition to revive it? I find it hard to believe that someone can wave a sword and have an apparition revive itself.

Great episode. Shinobu's story was really interesting. I liked all the art that went along with it too.

Hachikuji's goodbye was hilarious, cute and terribly sad at the same time, I think this is an interesting way to go though making every heroine disappear from Araragi's romantic life. Shinobu will better always be there though.

It was the way it should have ended for her. A long tear jerking scene doesnt fit her character or her relationship with Koyomi. The kiss was a surprise but absolutely awesome

Hachikuji... why... That was such a touching end. Honestly, I didn't see this coming. Although, I guess all things must come to an end some time.

Aw...the end of this arc was rather well done, albeit still a rather sad event.

Though when you go back to the original Mayoi arc at the end after she supposedly 'passed on', her explanation for sticking around as a promo to 'wandering spirit' did seem a bit dubious.

RIP, Hachikuji Mayoi. (in a matter of speaking)

I read chapter 1 on Baka-tsuki and I was still surprised that Kaiki is the story-teller and even more surprised he agreed to help. The small connection Hitagi has to Izuko's sister really makes me wonder about the relationship those 5 (Kaiki, Oshino, Kagenui, Gaen Izuko, Izuko's sister) have. Hitagi in glasses and mustache was priceless but was outdone by the Oshino-masquerading Kaiki. I'm looking forward to seeing what he does to deceive Nadeko if this really is the end for Hitagi like the title and ending of Otori suggest.

Then again this while story could be a lie

Kaiki's reasoning for helping Kanbaru could be simple from a business standpoint: through saving Araragi he receives the goodwill/favors of Kanbaru who he could use as a bargaining tool if he ever wanted to deal with Gaen (assuming she cares for Kanbaru, which she has shown inclinations that she might) and probably abuse her omniscience for some sort of profit in mind. I think that his entire soliloquy was a load since considerations such as emotional worth probably do not even cross his mind in a transaction, well this is taken from surface observations from a character that is still fairly unpredictable.
