I personally hate fanservice animes, and I'm enjoying this one.
Gotta love the landlady, with her doom ladle.

somehow i get pissed watching shows like this, though for the sake of those booties and titties(can't get enough), i mean how the hell can a useless bastard(somehow always being the main character) attract from giant boob hotties to flat chest lolis all at once, that's more unbelievable than the storyline itself, the ridiculousness is off the boundary(enraging my soul and my dick).
same thing goes with Rosario + Vampire, if u watched it, u'd know what i mean.
back to the topic: oh wait, those comment are about the topic.

Just watched episode 6. I'm reminded how hard it is to resist being a lolicon whenever Kuu-chan appears.

The manga >>> this shit.Just thought i'd drop in and tell you that for no reason what so ever.
Lately, there appears to be a trend where a manga title is perceived to be better than its anime counterpart. However, how does one define "better"? Is it in terms of the storyline, artwork/animation or even originality?
Until I get further into the manga can I come up with a personal opinion on Sekirei.

Ofc it's up to whoever watches it to decide that, but the majority often leans towards the manga in most cases.
For example, one of the worst manga-to-anime adaptions of late is Rosario+Vampire, i've yet to see anyone who's read the manga like the anime, the main reason? all the boring and shitty fillers they stuff into it, and most animes nowadays.
Bad drawings & crappy animations is a big annoyance to alot of people too.
Imo it should be done like they did with Death Note, no fillers (well, maybe one or to small ones, can't remember), no bullshit, fluid animation, , excellent drawn, awesome soundtrack.
That's the way all animes should be, but that's just wishful thinking.

For some reason, I get the feeling that fans either prefer the original or the format that made the series popular. Take for instance, Haruhi and Lucky Star. I don't hear that many people talking about the manga.
As much as I agree that most mangas are considered to be "better" than their anime counterparts, credit must be given to the anime production too. Without fillers, the entire series will just be an animated form of the manga, though too much of the former is indeed annoying.
Getting back on topic, a second season of Sekirei is on its way... I think.

Well that is mainly because the manga and anime came after the novels. I am up to date with all Haruhi novels and I prefer them over the anime and the manga anyday. The anime does however do a pretty good job of living up to it's novel counterpart. As for the manga; the drawins are so-so even primitive in some cases. As for Lucky Star I don't know which came first but I loved the anime :D.
But yes you do have a point. Usually it's the first thing that comes out and that gets our attention in some way that enables us to prefer it over let's say it's anime or manga counterpart.
Now let's get back on Topic and discuss Sekirei! Now the anime has almost caught up to the manga translations (haven't checked the raws) so what do you guys think will be the next big Fight we will see?
