Ahem! Massive necro bump!
I just finished this series the other day. What I saw, What expected and What I got, amirite? Well, what I got was a very, VERY pleasant surprise. It's been a while since I saw an anime that stuck with me a lot. The scenery was beautiful, the soundtrack was just amazing (been listening to their rendition of Amazing Grace A LOT) and I loved the cast of characters, no matter how stereotypical they may seem, at first. It may seem cheesy and have quite a few cliches, but I quite like those XD. And frankly, I'm a huge suckah for war stories.
Needless to say, I loved this series a lot. Needs more love, yo!

In the masterlist there is a So Ra No Wo To thread, but when I click it it just brings me to a Chu Bra thread. On the first post there is a link to the Anime Preview Winter 09/10 V2 page that has a picture of Sora No Woto on it, but that is all.

My boyfriend said I'm like Noel because I'm stubborn, a really hard worker, and I sleep an average of 7-10 hours a day.
My favorite character is Kanata though. She is determined even though she's a little naive.

Sora No Woto is one of my favorite animes, Its a shame there wont be a second season or any more content, they could do a lot more with it.

As for me, I probably enjoyed Sora No Woto more than I did, because it sometimes took itself seriously admist the general moeblob type characteristics the main cast portrayed throughout the series in a drama and war setting. (Kanata: the ditzy, yet hyper and always happy go getter, Kanata: the tsundere, Noel: the quiet and sleepy girl, Rio: the aggressive, older sister and Felicia: the caring and modest, mother type.)
Like Sneaky-san, I too wished there were more Sora No Woto episodes, I must have watched all the available episodes about 3 times by now and I probably want more. I really loved the music and the artistic presentations the series had.

The soundtrack is one of the things that made the whole show for me.
They also based the town of Seize off of a real location
