[Anime] Spice and Wolf

Yep, absolutely love this series, it's my favourite bar none. I hope they do another series or two, theres plenty of material, and from all I know Spice and Wolf is a relatively successful franchise in Japan.
Guess we'll have to wait and see, either way both series of anime out right now are very good, both series cry for continuation though :)

I really like how this story is driven. The pacing is great; it really knows how to pull at your heart strings. >_<
Also, its attention to detail with trade and dialogue looks like it's really well done.

I honestly can't wait for a 3rd season O_O... It's one of the best animes I've ever seen. Simply because the characters have depth and that the story itself derives from the typical "sword and mace" fantasy animes and resolves around economics and trade, still paying enough attention to the character's feelings thus making them very believable.

Yep, got the first one thats been translated officially to english, and got the second on preorder :)
The anime is suprisingly faithful to the novel actually, they make great companions as really the anime covers the vast majority of the material pretty well, the book just goes a bit more indepth on certain aspects of the characters feelings and a couple of extra, minor scenes etc.
Wish they were being released quicker :(
Edit:
2nd book out next month. Much better cover situation with this one too :)

Just finished the series and loved it. I hope there's a season 3! The way the economy is though, I don't think it will be out for a while. The last episode of season 2 gives you the impression of another season. I should read the light novels too. The setting is one of my favorites since I used to read a lot about medieval stuff even though the story focuses around merchanting rather than warfare and such. I'm one for furries!

There's certainly going to be a third season, hopefully this year, since the first one was in 2008 and second in 2009. But there has been no announcement so far for it to be aired in the Fall season, so it sucks, since the soonest it might come out is for Winter :/

Got up to volume 3 and reading 2 right now.
Quite interesting and reveals some details the anime doesn't... IMO, it helps understand the why some stuff happens better.

Spice and Wolf is my favorite series out of all that I have watched! The economics I see the value in but its not my focus. I pay most attention to how Holo and Lawrence's relationship progresses and how their interactions change with those around them.

I actually got a little lost in some of the economics talk at times but I really enjoyed watching their relationship develop.

Jesus H. Christ this topic is fucking old as dirt... well might as well say something while I'm here. S&W is an underrated gem, Holo is the best female lead evar, Lawrance and Holo are the cutest couple in anime, the economic talk didn't bother me, the soundtrack makes my ears cum, the animations and backgrounds gave me an artistic boner, it has a good balance between light hearted and tense moments, and the voice acting was top notch... what I'm trying to say is I like this show, just a little.
