Nothing much more to add, though I didn't find it particularly great...still a good anime to watch, and the idea that the main character isn't the greatest hero of all time is a change from the norm. Pretty interesting plot all the same, though I suppose it is blown a tad out of proportion and over-hyped.

I'll try and keep it short, if you haven't already watched the first episode.
The animation was pretty good(some of the best I've seen so far), or maybe I just like the way the artwork is drawn. Although Light, the protagonist) does have some over done effects at times(it's the same in the manga though.).
The storyline was, in my opinion, well thought through, but the manga reveals a lot more. It's interesting, and tends to keep you attracted to it by making you wonder what's going to happen next.
Overall it's worth the watch, and it's definitely one of the better Anime out there. It really depends on what style of anime you like. If you're more of the easy-going happy anime type, then this is probably going to push you away. It has a serious mood almost the entire way through.
It's largely based on a thriller and suspense perspective most of the time. It can be understood easily, if you just take the time to follow along with the story. I liked it to say the least.
It's definitely left it's mark on the anime world though. It's like what Code Geass would be if they concentrated more on the intellectual part of it, and didn't include giant mechs and battles.

Death not is intelligent anime and has horror elements. Art is REALLY good. And it has really interesting story line. This story hero is totally evil and very intelligent... And people like L because of his intersting personality and clear mind.
Btw I strongly advice to see the serias cuz it ONE OF THE BEST ANIMES I'VE EVER SEEN :twisted:
