Worst Harem Lead?

It's more of a Martial Arts manga rather than a harem manga. Like I said, he was never really welcome to the thought that many girls liked him.

Agreed. It's more of of a martial arts and comedy manga just as you say. But, did a lot of girls like him? I can't quite remember that. The only thing I can remember is that he turns into girl when soaked in cold water, and his (or her? dunno) girl form is hot.
And when the first time I watched Kampfer, my mind quickly jumps to this anime.

Ataru Moroboshi is indeed one of the "stupidest" harem leads, much like Tomoki from SoraOto

One more question, just how is School Days? Many people says that the male lead was the worst ever (including you), but is he really? I've never watched it, so mind giving one or two spoilers?

Its good you didn't watch it after I watched the ending I rage over what happen felt worse than all of those ntr kind of stuff I have read and seen. Was alternating between that show and Zero no Tsukaima after I saw the ending I stopped watching the other because I connected to two somehow.

But if I recall, there was a VN named School Days as well, wasn't it? So, does it has the same storyline as the anime? Cuz sometimes VNs and their anime adaptations has different story.

They have different stories because, unlike Amagami SS (where it's a different timeline every time), an anime can only end in one way. The ending these guys are mentioning is from the anime, and seems to be an edit of two bad endings from the original VN.

Buddy, the original VN has 21 endings! But, if you say so.

Saw girl (Kotonoha Katsura) has a total of 7 good endings, whereas the stabber (Sekai Saionji) has 5 good. Two others (Hiakri Kuroda and Otome Katou) have 2 and 1 respectively. Adding to the three bad ones, that makes 18 so far.

There are 2 harem endings, one where both Kotonoha and Sekai get together with the guy (Makoto Itou), and another where Makoto just screws with every girl he finds.

Finally, there's a last tricky ending which is only made available when certain conditions are met for one of Kotonoha's or Sekai's good endings. Doing so reveals Makoto getting ANOTHER COMPLETELY DIFFERENT GIRL (Setsuna Kiyoura) pregnant.

That's all of them (I'm NOT going to go into the extra five bad endings added to the PS2 port). So, pick your poison. >:)

But, it seems like the protagonist really is a man whore.
Rance is a serial raper, but I don't hate him at all. At least, he is decisive.

Personally, I don't find such a VN appealing in any way. Whereas others have you decide and stay loyal to that girl in the end, this one literally screws around with everyone, and makes me feel like, no matter who I choose, someone gets broken. I don't get that from other VNs, just this.

Personally, I'd keep Kotonoha all to myself and treat her the way she needs to be. Let the others die of STDs for all I care! XD

Based on your story, I think this VN fails a big time.
I mean, I don't hate indecisive men (heck, most harem lead are indecisive by nature), but this guy's indecisiveness is... way beyond the point of salvation.

The fact that it sold well during release still bothers me.
