Your First Manga

Since there's a first anime thread, I thought the manga section needed it too.
My first manga was probably Chobits. Cuz the blurb was all "Computers and some perverted dude, lol"
I've read much more than I own due to me finding http://www.stoptazmo.com/.
Anyway, post your first manga, and discuss what drew you to it.

Probably the first manga I read to completion was Love Hina, although I could be wrong.
Also every time I go to that site in Internet Explorer my computer blows up from spyware and trojans, so I suggest anyone who has IE not go there.

Off topic: Oh my god! Another reason not to use IE! I note that IE7 crashes Vista without fail, on my high end PC.
It's a shame that StopTazmo had to use an ad-ridden front page to keep itself online. Mind you, I've never had any problems with it, spyware and trojan-wise.

Am I just old or... am I just old?
No, I'm serious guys, my "first" manga might have came out about 10 years prior to you guy's... (no kidding lol)
That being said, my "first" manga(s) are Glass Mask (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glass_Mask) and Please Save My Earth (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Please_Save_My_Earth), when I was around 9.
Why? Well... I guess it's only normal for a young (ethnic Japanese) girl to read at least some Shoujo stuff...

Sad to say, my first manga was some hentai manga from the internet. So long ago that I forgot what it was called. My first anime manga was i think Bleach. I started with watching Evangelion but I never really got into reading manga until a couple years ago. :)

The first manga that I read from start to finish was Dragon Ball, and after all these years I can still pick it up and enjoy some of my favorite chapters. I found the manga much more enjoyable because there wasn't as much lag time as there was in the anime adaptation (ie. Goku or Vegeta powering up for three episodes)

My first manga was Onegai Teacher. Gotta love them pink-haired alien, teachers.
I don't know about you, but to me, that's somewhat like saying your first time was with a hooker, that's just imo, nothing against that.

My first was Paradise Kiss. What drew me to it was its unique art style and realistic story- compared to magical girls and fighting robots, anyway. After that I got hooked on Mars, Maison Ikkoku, and Hana Yori Dango (Boys Over Flowers).

My first manga, which I would count as actually owning and having a physical copy, would be Claymore. I only own 4 volumes, but... I'll get more.
