Well at least it had some closure, which was what I was waiting for from this series, closure.

Spoiler:
. We did miss the interesting discussion in Louise's family about being with Saito, not complaining though.

Spoiler:
Their only real problem with him was he wasn't a noble but Henrietta fixed that when she gave him his own land.

well I guess thats an okay ending, in which could also connect to the ED (the song).....but.....
Spoiler:
Normally, wouldn't the military go looking for someone who steals a jet fighter like that?

Spoiler:
Japan isn't allowed to have a military in the first place, but yeah, staying long in the world where you stole something that expensive from isn't very smart

I still don't get how
Spoiler:
Saito managed to steal a military, fully armed and fueled jet fighter.

Bump.

I finally got around to rewatching ZNT Seasons 1-3, and watched Season 4. [size=9]Hooray for Torrenting.[/h]

Spoiler:
After Saito gains his second familiar ability and Louise overhears the fact that using his new ability to amplify Void Powers will cause him to die, in S4 Episode 10 she thinks to herself while dancing with Saito "I don't want him to die. Please, don't let anything actually threaten the world". SURPRISE SURPRISE! The next scene, an entire village is up in flames and behind it, an active volcano.

There's something about that that actually made me laugh a little, out loud. Maybe it's the irony, or the fact that I saw it coming?

Didn't expect...

Spoiler:
...that the Pope dude would get eaten by that huge fuck off dragon after shattering Derfringer to pieces, and Saito gets sent back to Japan with Louise's World Door spell.

Did anybody also think that...

Spoiler:
...when Saito gets sent back to Japan and he was yelling Louise's name and thinking about her, that he sounds like someone that got so engrossed in a dating sim or something similar that he thought it was reality and snapped out of it? You know, one of those people who take Escapism to a whole new level.

And why didn't...

Spoiler:
...they try to attack the dragon when it was "sleeping"? I mean, it was just a lump of rock. It was shown that it could be safely approached and there was no risk of getting attacked. So why the fuck why didn't they attack it? It was only when it woke up, sprouted wings, flew away and decimated an entire fleet and tried to level the Academy of Magic that they tried doing something again.

At least...

Spoiler:
...it was a happy ending, what with Saito and Louise getting married and all, and she stayed a tsundere till the very end. As some people have said, it still left me wanting more, and watching those ending credits where she uses her spell to sightsee Japan with Saito and meeting Saito's unseen parents was awesome. How odd would that look though? A guy in blue clothes that he's been wearing since he arrived in the other world (probably about a year?), stepping out of a portal in the middle of a busy street carrying a girl in strange clothes by our standards, and looking into the portal all you see is a dirt trail and a mansion. I'd fucking shit myself.

And it didn't hit me...

Spoiler:
...until the last episode, but Saito's been missing for at least a year from Earth, so his parents must've assumed that he was dead and gave up all hope of ever finding him. How shit-scared out of their minds must his parents be if he just suddenly showed up at the door with a pink-haired girl wearing a weird getup and says "Mum, Dad, this is my wife Louise!" If I were his parents I'd probably have a heart attack. My year-long dead son, suddenly appearing out the blue, married to a girl from another world.

Now, I'm either over-observant or a very picky bastard and I've never realised until just now, but overall I think it was a satisfactory end to the one anime which I've been obsessed about since discovering it about it a year and a half ago, although it left me wanting more. The ecchi-ness is what appealed to me. I mean come on, Hentrietta fighting Louise naked in a hot spring? HNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG FUCK YES.

And wasn't...
Spoiler:
the pope so goddamn retarded? I know he was weakening the dragon using his Void magic but wasn't it all in vain since he threw away Julio and let HIMSELF A VOID USER get eaten by the dragon which actually made it stronger?

Also...
Spoiler:
In the ending sequence you get to see Lousie casting her void magic to open up a portal to Saito's Dimension wide enough for them to go through WITHOUT using Saito's Gandlafr rune, so she finally gets to cast the full spell AFTER the chaos.

About the finale...
Spoiler:
They had like multiple fleets of warships equipped with at least 2 or more cannons that shot rounds as big as your head and for some unknown reason they explode when they hit something (like incendiary cannonballs?), and yet all they needed was an outdated Fighter warplane that used a couple air to ground missiles and an explosion spell.

But then I stopped overthinking because it was an anime.

Awesome ending, the new type of Tsundere ain't bad after all.

That he was. I actually thought "Y U NO JUMP OFF TOO, FUCKIN' RETARD"

Also noticed that.

Explosions are the meaning of life. As for the plane, probably just the speed above all else. The explosions it shot were a big too big though.

But then I stopped overthinking because it was an anime.

Ditto, I'm actually ashamed that my overthinking got as far as it did.

Just finished watching the last series of ZNT. I have to say - this anime from the 1st season all throughout the last season have been a blast and seeing it finish is a bit sad. I would have wanted it to be a bit longer.

However I think the ending was just perfect - with louise and saito finally married. I still think that Siesta will still tease saito and louise from time to time and louise will still have the same reactions as for Tiffania (Not sure if Saito is still her familiar but if he is then Tiffania might start living with them, since familiars have to be close to their master/s.)

The only thing I wish though is to have 2 OVA episode that shows the 1st episode with Saito and Louise going to Saito's world and meeting his parents. (I wonder what his parents think to see saito again after a long time?)

And the second Ova episode be about Saito and Louise's friends go to Saito's world and have a sort of summer vacation in the beach. Oh and that elf girl that's interested in studying humans and her fiance could come too and Queen Charlotte/Tabitha and Princess Henrietta too with her bodyguard too.

Ahh man!! Now that I said it. I do wish this happens.

Oh on a side note though - even though its the end, I guess if I miss it. I'll just rewatch the whole series from 1-4, I dont say that in many anime series. After watching it I simply put it in my list of animes watched and move on to new ones but this one is an exception.

Necrobump ftw!

I actually bring some news to the handful of people who still care. News

Basically as you all know author died in 2013. But he gave final story to his editors before he went, and they are finally going to finish the LN properly at least. This might eventually lead to an Ova hopefully.
