Man i hope you don't have the same issues with the Puni Kano hardcopies...

i understand how hard all of this must be for you guys, and i hope for a speedy recovery. Just sucks to have been waiting on this since my preorder in august and have every deadline pretty much broken (for the physical copy). The Fakku gold and apologies help, but honestly many of us are just really confused as to why all of our books are just sitting in the middle of the pacific.

At this point i am about to just stop following the updates on the forums because i already am aware of everything going on with the book and all they do is get my hopes up :(

Regardless i still love you Jacob and your website, but i think everyone here is a little let down by the incompetence of the people shipping the stuff (not you guys obviously)

No it is definitely our fault and we deserve the blame for the delays. We were incredibly optimistic on the amount of time it takes to actually print these books and all our assumptions were wrong. The process of going back and forth with the printers, shipping all the books to our office, and now going through the port authority/customs so close to Christmas is taking a painfully long amount of time. All that said it is our fault for getting the time wrong.

What this means for future releases is that there will be a lot more time for pre-orders before the paperback ships. Digital releases will still be available the moment we finish them, but printing and shipping the paperback will take another 2 - 3 months after that. Normally a manga publisher will have a 6 - 9 month pre-order window where they do all this, but I'd rather get the digital version out as soon as possible.

I'll make a more in-depth post about the delay when I have all the info, we're still talking with the freight company. We do have about 30 copies of the book in the office so if it's a life or death situation and someone needs their pre-order now we can make it happen.

I'm fine, despite my house being on sale, no one has proposed to buy it yet. (and I would still have three month to prepare everything before moving out)
I'd say I'm safe until it comes.

Im in no rush. I bought for keeping something.

Got a job at my location and contracted for 2 years so yeah no rush for me lol. Just keep the updates rolling and don't sweat it too much, its your first big shipment so there was bound to be issues. Can't be too upset at someone who is just as excited as the rest of us for the books.

I can just imagine our nice boat sunk like the titanic ;C

Why not start shipping the 30 books you have to the first 30 who pre-ordered? Aren't they the most loyal and "deserve" a reward? XD

I don't know why not? I can't imagine that it will take THAT much longer for the rest (at least I hope...) and the 30 most loyal people get it a bit earlier. What's the problem?

Jacob your fine they say we all fail and isnt that the truth I mean look at me I have more stitch down my arm than a damn patchwork blanket but I learned from those mistakes and so will you so it's no sweat. I'm not moving anytime soon.

I'll see if I can get something cool to give everyone for the delay, we have a lot of fairly awesome things related to these books.

Just wanna know, so you don't think my idea is any good?
It's just my suggestion, of course I don't make any decisions here but just wanna hear why not^^

It happens, I wouldn't stress out about it. Seems like most of the community is pretty understanding.

Ahh the zero post thing is a glitch with this forum as far as I know basically they don't give you post for ti, yet but maybe in the future tbh I have no idea, I never really cared about how many post i've had.



I still wants you guys to have a profit from these books,we were (and still are) as excited as you when you announced fakku books, I knew there would be delays, I kinda expected them, but thank you Jacob for being so kind to the consumer and treating us as a part of the process and not just some number on a checklist.

It's a good idea, we'll probably do that once we figure out when we're going to receive the full shipment.

I'll figure out why your posts are zero, there is a bug with this specific forum causing posts not to count.
