A bit about myself....
I'm 25 years old and from the Dominican Republic and grew up in The Bronx. After University I moved around a bit. First Japan, then Portland, then New York, then Portland =_= its been... interesting... but pretty good.
In my spare time I make comics and play video games.
(of course anime and and manga too, where are we?! lol)
Right now, I'm kind of obsessed with Shoujo, Yuri, and Gundam.
I like stuff outside of that too, I tend to have pretty adventurous taste but... these are my faves right now.
Specific series, you say? Hmmm...
Lately I'm all about Princess Jellyfish, Kimi Ni Todoke, Flowers of Evil (though that's not exactly shoujo,Yuri OR Gundam, huh?), Love Stage, Girlfriends (the Morinaga Manga), and most recently Yuri Kuma Arashi! ãã®ã‚¢ãƒ‹ãƒ¡ã¯ã‚ã£ã¡ã‚ƒæ¥½ã—ã„ã‚„ãª?!
As for Gundam I follow Universal Century pretty closely. I don't know much outside of UC but I did enjoy Gundam 00. Even though....
Lockon.....

"Wha.... no hentai?" Nah. Don't get me wrong its not like I don't like it (otherwise I wouldn't be working here lol) but the honest truth is that I'm still pretty new to the genre even though I've been reading manga for... like... ever. Still, The office is always abuzz with talk of awesome series so I'm discovering new series. For now I know that I like Yandere stuff. Idk why I just this its awesome ^^; Though I'm still like a baby deer trying to get my footing down so there might be more hentai sub-genres that I might like and don't know if I would yet. If y'all wanna recommend stuff to me, yeah! Do it up.
I'll talk to you guys more about specific hentai stuff I like as I continue reading and figuring out my interests within the genre.
As for video games, I've been powering through Dragon age Origins so I can play the rest of the series. I've also been addicted to Animal Crossing and I might soon get Smash bros. for the 3DS. As for my faves though.... that's hard. though someone recently asked me my top four and I answered Fallout New Vegas (with the Music of Fallout 3), Torchlight 2, Spelunky, and Donkey Kong 64 (in that order). Though I might take out DK64. like, its a good game but all my games on the list are games with (to me) endless replay value but the exception is DK64. Its pretty easy to 100% complete it then there's just nothing to do in the game after :/
Woah... I'm kind of a nerd huh? YAY! :P
Anyway that's all I can think to say for now.
Feel free to ask [/i] literally[/i] anything you want to know about me. It's all good :)

Dang, nicely done intro there and welcome to fakku,
Best of luck on the typesetting with everything coming out on here I doubt you'll be bored.
It puts a smile on my face that you mentioned Jellyfish Princess, that series is just so cute!! Kimi ni Todoke is a great series and I loved Love Stage quite a bit, brought out the inner fujoshi in me, though I'm not really hardcore with it. I go through phases with shoujo, like right now I'm obsessed with Kamisama Kiss and some seinen works like Midnight Secretary and Happy Marriage.
If you are passionate about nerdy things like most of us are, you'll break into the henti universe over time. If I can think of any works I'll recommend them to you, yandere is a pretty nice choice. If you like yandere in anime Future Diary and Higurashi are good series with iconic yandere girls.
Hope you enjoy your stay on here (^^)/

This was a ....stunningly well made introduction. Welcome welcome, it's cool to see another fellow typesetter interested in the forum scene as well. Maybe we could discuss somethings about the sort of stuff later (i.e. fonts and choices but not so important :P) I'd be happy to answer any questions you need in regards to it though
Normally, I'd go through some basic questions to get to know the person better, but seeing the state of the OP, I think you're fine. You mentioned Smash Bros, however, and honestly, if you're hanging around friends who regularly bring their DSs with Smash, you'll find yourself playing it a lot more than you'd think. Know the feeling all too well. And if anything, I'm open to a game or two whenever haha.
Other than that, welcome you most well-stated person. Hope you enjoy your time on the forums and meet all sorts of folks

Gundam and yandere - we have two things in common.
Mind if I ask you your favorite UC series and MS? And to be a little more invasive (the irony), maybe a favorite yandere character? Zeta and the Zeta are my favorites.

Thanks :)
I'll check out Kamisama Kiss I haven't seen it. I like Love Stage too but form what I hear the manga is waaaaay better. Though apparently the main character's boyfriend ryoma is homophobic even though he's dating/fucking a man..... I guess it was meant as humor but its not cute. Still other than that I enjoy it. Its very great Ship bait for all the Fujoshi in all of us. In my opinion Izumi (and Kuranosuke from Princess Jellyfish) are Trans Women. There's evidence too but its whatever :)
Lately I shy Away from seiinen. Idk There are still some good things in the genre but lately my interest in is microscopic :/
still I'll give those a chance and let you know what I thought :)
I'll check out future diary. I have seen Higurashi. It IS pretty Yandere you're right *never noticed T_T* Higurashi is an awesome show to be sure :)

Most well stated?! Stunning?!!!!! Awwww you guys are just trying to make me blush ^^;
In truth I'm really not great in forums. Every time I join one and try to hang out it just becomes difficult for me so I stop. I think I have internet social awkwardness. Though it could be that, that's changing. I hope so ^_^
I have two other friends who have smash on the 3DS weather they will play with me or if they can kick my butt remains to be seen. IF you want to play with me (and this goes for everyone else too), if you want to play with me on the 3ds I'll put my friend-code in my signature at some point and play with you guys on occasion.

Welcome to the forums.
I think 0079 might be my fave. But only by a fractional margin. Zeta and Unicorn like a few decimal points underneath 0079. I first saw 0079 after first watching the first season of start trek the original series. I feel in love with Star Trek and so loving 0079 was easy because there are so many similarities. The two massive differences is that where kirks crew are highly trained professional the white base crew were a bunch of kids who didn't know anything just trying to not die. For me this raised the stakes a lot more than stark trek ever did because I always knew that since he had been trained for it, Kirk would win. Bright Noa and Amuro Ray basically won by sheer dumb luck and ingenuity. Zeta I love because of the lines that it crossed, though it was pretty bleak. The theming was interesting and so was Camille as a main character. My theory is that his character type is a response to character types like Amuro and Shinji (Ikari). In the same way that they would say "why are you making me do this? I don't know what I'm doing! I'm upset! Isn't there anyone more qualified?" Camile would never back down and say "I got this" but part of what zeta shows is what that kind of bravado can get you. Lastly Unicorn I love because it is very intelligently written. I always got the sense that 0079 and Zeta wanted to be much more political than they were but simlply fell short of doing so. Unicorn feels like it gives as much of those politics as it can deliver without radically changing the series, and I sprrciate that.
Favorite MS... Hmmm..... I used to be all about the Gouf and I would be lying if I said I didn't like Zaku 2s. I also had a thing for Rick Doms and Kamfers. It's hard to choose a favorite but I know that I'm not fond of federation suits. Gundam aside I feel like federation suits always seem to be lacking a sense of creativity that aeon mobile suits are always full of. I know that's a bit of an opinion lol but idk zeon's designs stole my heart.
But to give a definite answer... I think my fave would have to be Rick Doms. But the Red Comet is good too. And the Sazabi AAAH! Too much want ^^;;;;; (though for gundams my fave is the black Gundam Mk 2)
As for yandere stuff... Again I'm not so experienced in it but I think Sawa Nakamura from Aku no Hana is one of my faves even though she's a lot more yan and a lot less dere lol.

It's cool to see others having to start from scratch with that series lol it seems like the rest of the games are amazing too so I can't wait to get to them. I feel like fantasy mas effect is pretty fair comparison. Still it's iniverse is just sooo... Cool. I've been having fun with it so far.

But seriously I sort of discovered it not knowing what I was in for. When I was applying for the job and when I was going through the hiring process I looked at the website for... You know, research... And just read random stuff. The first time I read yandere I was admittedly weirded out but now I love it. I used to casually read Hentai one shots and a few chapters here and there but nothing that I considered being of much note. I think the first legit Hentai book I read is NTR. That one was like... Woah. It took me a few days to process it. It's less that any one thing in the book was too much and more that the context in which everything was presented made it so creepy and... Just... Ugh. Still I'm impressed with the book because when I was reading it I didn't realize that mind break is a sub-genre. Now that I know about it I kind of respect NTR's writer for making such an effevtive story.

Ahaha, well just my personal opinion on the introduction anyways. Well you shouldn't worry anyways. If you think about it, the forums consist of users that are (for a lack of a better word) "outsiders" of forums (all that hentai lol). So really, being awkward really isn't possible around here XD. not to mention gap moe hnnnnnng. But better that you still have people skills, very valuable. But for the most part, just type the way you talk (though make sure to be sure to state feelings since text alone can't always convey that without context).
Oh? Same, what a coincidence. I'll be glad to go a round or two on the occasion. I'm sure it'll be fun.

Maybe we could discuss somethings about the sort of stuff later (i.e. fonts and choices but not so important :P) I'd be happy to answer any questions you need in regards to it thoughNormally, I'd go through some basic questions to get to know the person better, but seeing the state of the OP, I think you're fine.
Most well stated?! Stunning?!!!!! Awwww you guys are just trying to make me blush ^^;
In truth I'm really not great in forums. Every time I join one and try to hang out it just becomes difficult for me so I stop. I think I have internet social awkwardness. In my day to day life I tend ot be pretty quiet I guess but like, at least I know how to interact with other fellow flesh-bags. Other the other hand though I find net communication difficult.
Also that's cool that you are also a typesetter. WOOP WOPP
Im curious about some of the stuff you've on.
Yeah, I work with Team Koinaka to typeset hentai lol. I'm still a bit new on some things but it's fun. How about you?
Yeah I agree with about typing how you talk. that's what I try to do ^^;
Yeah! I've been practicing a bit lol before I give people my FC hahaha ^^;;
Huh, I see. cool! I've been doing well. just steadily plugging away at the pages :) Its not especially difficult but It can be super time consuming as you know.
