FAKKU Subscription Suggestions

I agree with all the suggestions of a free month for x months of subscribing. I believe that some form of loyalty program would be a good idea. Basically the more you help Fakku, the more Fakku helps you.

It would be cool to get achievements for recommendations. For instance if you invite a friend to Fakku subscriptions And they use your invite you get an achievement.

It's been mentioned a few times in this thread, but I consider it important: a Magazine or Gold section (both in your Account and along the top). Having the content provided by gold in an easily accessed and direct format helps people see the value of what they're getting with their subscription... also the general public seeing little thumbnails like the Book section has might drum up some new subscribers over threads buried in the forums.

Another question/suggestion: Will the magazines be purchasable in digital format for those that have missed previous months or can't support a subscription?

Really good idea, I had neglected to put together a page exclusively showing chapters only available to subscribers. I just coded this, take a look: https://www.fakku.net/chapters. This will constantly update as new chapters are added to the website, when the service goes public later today it should have 20-30 new chapters added.

Your subscription will grant you access to our entire back catalog, that means every magazine we published in the past you'll be able to read with your subscription.

Is this still a WIP or should we be able to access that page from the books tab? I only ask because when you go to the "chapters" page, it says "books -> magazine chapters" but if you go to the "books" page, I don't see a way to access the "magazine chapters" page. It's kind of like you need to know the URL to get in.

Sorry if this has been suggest could we hide certain content tags using a filter so we don't see it, or find it by mistake.

I'm also a fan of the idea of the magazines appearing as a book. So each months chapters are readable as one long document rather than chapters.

My final suggestion would be to make sure it's easy to find back issues if the 'plot' is ongoing.

Thanks Jacob! Like how it includes the chapters from the bonus weeks! So is there a chance that we will see it grouped by magazine and in a continuous read like books?

And as noted by 623, there are no paths built to this section yet, though I'm sure you know that. :p

I have mixed feelings about that. Does that mean if your subscription ends you lose access to the magazines? I know it makes it more like a porn site subscription where constantly building content makes a subscription more and more tempting, but it also means there is no difference between someone that has paid every month for a year and a new subscriber. Plus I prefer my funds to go towards owning content rather than renting - having the ability to download the magazines and/or access them even if I had to end my subscription has value to me.

Hi all!

So I just added some of the recent content to my collections, but the poster art isn't showing up. Just a little bug I suppose, but thought I'd the staff know.

Thanks for the doujins!

I understand your feelings there, but not offering a back catalog would be even more detrimental to new subscribers. I know it feels like we should be rewarded for supporting Fakku from the very launch of their books and subscription service, but this needs to be done in a different manner (e.g. a well designed loyalty program) than just not offering the back catalog. New users would perceive it as being very unfair and would be far less likely to subscribe if it were implemented.

There's a lot of dimensions that goes into designing a solid loyalty program. I'm not sure exactly what would be best for Fakku, but it's an area I dabble in (I'm a Marketing PhD student and my adviser is one of the foremost experts on the topic) so I know how difficult it can be to settle on a good one.

Midnight Barber I am stuck in a well.
I don't know if this has been suggested yet but it would be nice if there was a way that we could change the background color on the subscription reader like we can on the free one. I have always liked the dark background.

It'd be great if we could have a 'Read Later' on the drop down menu when you click 'My Account' so that's easier to access, maybe right under 'Favorites' or 'Collections'.

There's an option in the settings menu for this already.

Yeah it would be terrible for a new user to consider signing up only to realize that they signed up too late and missed a lot of content. The back catalog is critical.

Hopefully, this is the right place to ask, but is there a system in which I can hide content with certain tags? Like hide anything that is tagged "netorare" or anything that isn't an original work. I thought I saw it mentioned at one point.

This is something we are working on now, once we make it through this first week of subscriptions I expect it to be finished and online fairly soon.

Sounds good.

Had another suggestion. Could consecutive chapters appear in the reader. So rather than coming out and loading a new page it just goes to the next one. Like the way The books work.

Is there any form of notification that new content in the store has been added? Things like the Fakku poster that is sold out is one thing. Another are new Fakku shirts like the Bosshi shirts. Maybe also add a banner that reads "new" for new additions in the shop menu? I don't want to keep checking daily and scrutinizing what is new and not new.
