Seeing as how Chinese Democracy is finally out maybe China will get some.In fact,Problems of China are Bureaucratism,chronic thinking way of people.
This thinking way come from history,if people want to change it,they need time and patience.
ancient chinese officeholders trust they are administrators of people,not deputy of people's will.
for example:a name of acient chinese official position called '州牧','州' means 'province','牧'means 'botes'.
The thinking lose it's major contents in last 200 years, but the style of thinking way leave behind.

The Chinese believe this IS a way to solve their economic problems. Reducing the hours young people can watch TV or play video games, removing bad influences from their lives... they believe that by censoring the world, they can breed prefect children and thus have perfect workers for a perfect society. That's the idea anyway, whether the chinese gov't believes it or not.
I don't think this decision to block pr0n will do much though. There are still many methods of browsing the internet, and I bet the Chinese people are adept at using them. China can only control the computer illerterate.

I hate it when any government tries to restrict their citizen from visiting any websites they like. They only ban popular things, if it is not popular then they don't even know it exist.
But like everyone say, when there is a will , there is a way. The more restriction placed, the more eager people are to break them!!!

Although I can't delegate all the Chinese people's will,but I can say something that is facts in chinese society.
1.If children want to against their parents, they will lose the origin of economic.if children want to find job and make money to support life of himself,this almost impossible,because the pressure of obtain employment is so huge now(because number of people too much),many chinese graduates can't find job,and number is increasing (About millions every year.)
2.To major chinese people,the porn is not very important thing.
3.The Chinese government manage the internet in china more and more strict now.About 2 years ago, I needn't show any information of identity when go to a '网å§'(a public place which rent computers to people connect Internet),but now, I must show my ID to counterjumper to record.And my friend, a boss of a '网å§' tell me,this measures was ordered by government, if they don't do this ,his '网å§' must be close.

Hype up some other "moral problem" for your citizens, those not visiting pornographic websites. Tell the uneducated farmer that grew up as Red Guardsman in the Cultural Revolution that this is just one way the west is subverting our youth and a plot to ruin China and you'll have one more supporter for something completely irrelevant.
So while this goes along, it'll only allow more restricted internet access, freedom of speech, etc. Their own abuses will be quietly hidden, larger and more important moral and practical problems, mostly initiated by the Government itself, may even just disappear.
Yeah, the US isn't perfect, but compared to China, well, I'm glad I live in a country where my only cause for alarm in visiting these sites is the massive amount of malware and people willing to steal my information.

They're all corrupted, it's the way they do it. If you don't want to follow the rules of the game, you do NOT get promoted or paid. You go agaisnt it? They'll blame you for things you didn't do. You get killed on extreme cases.

Years ago, university students wanted to denounce china. Guess what? Tanks rolled on them. Many died, even if they were chinese elites.
Our preschool students they HAVE to wear a red scarf, which represents chinese flag. They also have the "red" book which contains communism rules and thoughts.
Everyone loves their country, they're what you call brain-washed. If you try to criticize, you will get the blame of not loving your country. I had many and many argues with my own family on it. Yes, because China > family. It is a MUST to love it. Not imposed by the government but by the zombie people that believes them.
They think they're one of the best countries in the world because it is how the news describe themselves. They also have huge propagandas agaisnt japaneses, americans and frenchs lately. Why? Because it praises your nationalism.
Communist? Yes right, officers have Audi, bmw, Rollroyce and bentley. They live in villas. Just as example unknown city in china, very small one, the mayor has a city hall BIGGER and more magnificient than the white house.

Recently, a girl got raped by an officer's son and thrown in the river where she drowned and died. The scandal was discovered but the police couldn't do anything. It's a bad idea to arrest someone related to a high rank officer :wink: . The mass destroyed in and out the police station as revenge.
The outcome story was the boy was doing push-ups on the bridge and the girl jumped. Now all of china believes this. Police station being destroyed just "didn't happen" in this version.
Olympics were a nice example of chinese love. If people expected you to win and if you did not, they will simply hate you for being a failure.
Chinese earthquake, a lot of people gave donations. At least there's a good point to nationalism. But usually you do not give money because you're nice, but it is more as a prestige. The more you give, the more you're generous. You'd brag about it all day to show all others how generous you are.
Chinese is communist, which means everyone is equal and share the wealth.
America is capitalist, where you have to work to live decently.

Sorry, but we were wrong, seems like People's Republic of China failed at sharing the wealth and is more inequal than USA, the so-called capitalist pigs.
Now that's the only things I could think of, believe me that's only a tiny part of it.
I still love china and my family. But it angers me that the people I love, and the origins I come from are corrupted by the government. I wish I never came here and never realized atrocities here, it kills me to be powerless. I am happy my parents decided to go to Canada and gave me a free life.

Interesting views and comments we have here. Throughout history it has been very strict in China, I can't believe that they have come this far.
Of course there would be negative and positive effects because of this action. I understand that they want to foster discipline among the people so that they would become productive and useful members of society, but they would also be restricting some people in attaining their physical needs and fulfilling sexual urges, this might also trigger another population boom in China, since this means that they would be removing another "libido outlet" among the populace. In crude words, some men would be fapping in front of real women instead of just doing it in front of the PC monitor. Of course this is just an opinion of mine.

To those people who think they're so smart and telling us to use proxies, theres a problem.
The government thought of that long ago. All the proxies I had used to use now no longer work, and I myself have yet to find another working proxy to use, although I'm pretty sure theres some unblocked proxy out there.
