I can't say much in this matter, but i do know a pretty swell hentai, which has a pretty good story. Don't know if the name would be any different in the usa, but here in europe it goes by the name "luv wave". Technically it's only 3 episodes put together to make one movie-length hentai. As already mentioned, it has a pretty good story, seeing that it is a hentai, but also the contained sex scenes have variety to cover the different tastes. Also mentionable is the music used in the ending, which is basically repeated after each episode. It may not be to everyones liking, but i personally like it. I even found myself having the melody haunt my mind, while i only realized later on that it belongs to that hentai, having seen it more than a while ago.
Also i know of a great neon genesis evangelion hentai manga here on fakku. I can't recall the name of this sub-series, but while reading it, i was overwhelmed by the incredible depth the story has to offer, because it has an alternative storyline, but it respects the facts of the original storyline.
Only thing i didn't like was that it wasn't my favorite pairing: while the hentai manga makes use of the shinji + asuka pairing, i'm more of a shinji + rei fan, though this is besides the point, due to the fact that the story is mostly based on this pairing.
Hentai may not be "real" porn for most people, but it defintely wins at having way better storylines, and that even goes for those ones that only get down to the fucking. Please excuse my language... ;-P

Maybe we should talk about what are the benefits of Hentai cause lots of people in the world loves porn but doesn't give a damn to people who is in the porn videos. At my point of view, hentai is more fun, legal, and does not abuse people unlike in amateur or scripted porn with all those exploited, abused, or paid porn stars to show and have sex with people who sometimes are strangers to them. Porn is illegal and dirty while Hentai is clean and nice to watch and should be accepted as a replacement of porn.

Oh and its economy related. When japanese economy goes bad, the hentai/manga producers use girls with big boobs, and when japanese economy is going well, they go back to more normal sizes.

Problem is in USA about only 70% of the people(in my area) only heard of the word hentai or ecchi. It all starts off a person likeing manga and then moving on to anime. And then they move on to ecchi anime/mangas( most of the time by sheer accident). Once interested they try to find out what ecchi or hentai means and they get a bunch of results. This is probabilly the reason why most Americans are disgusted by hentai, only because of the first few results( not to mention most of those sites are virus loaded). So this is why 1. People never heard about hentai(15% more or less) 2. Knows what it means(through friend or by themself 70%) 3. knows about hentai and enjoys it like us( that's about 15-30% of that 70%, not very high...}:^/†¢> ) So I think I hit the major points why not many Americans approve of this. Btw if you're thinking about introducing hentai to America go for the 12-19 range(12 cuz some kids find this stuff and 19 around time before people lose interest in sexual stuff, this is just general info)

I've got to admit, the censoring in most manga doesn't annoy me all that much (in many a minuscule black bar counts as "censoring" lol)

(thinking of a good question) From all the hentai that has been release over in the US, which one would you give it the passing standart of a good quality dub (and sub).
One most people do remember is Sexfriend (watched the spanish dub), I can consider this a well done job as it lits the mood in some scenes (while still making me laugh on how the show goes on).
