Time for change! (and a release!)

You guys have always done a great job of providing us with great fapping material. Well done! You deserve the credit and watermarking your own hard work is not at all intrusive. In fact, the watermarks on the mangas distributed elsewhere led me to www.fakku.net. Without the watermarks, I wouldn't have known where the source of all the good translated materials is. In my opinion, getting rid of the watermarks is a bit too altruistic and unnecessary.

Good thing that you guys decide to remove the watermark. Because it is annoying, and of course not that worth to be written at every pages.
I myself, already remove my watermark long time ago.

I really wonder who and how many of us had ever complained about those watermarks. They have never disturbed me. I strongly believe that FAKKU! releases DESERVE!! to bear this sign of quality. You shouldn't have gone and leave out the watermarks but put up a poll to see if really that many people find it intrusing. And I agree with Zathael. You should be too busy with reading than having the time to realize the watermarks. Since it's not covering any important parts like censor stripes.
And last but not least: Thanks for the release!
Well said. I totally agree with you. You said exactly what I was gonna say. A rep for you sir.

I believe that you guys should keep the watermark or if people really find it that intrusive (I don't ) at least make a smaller less noticeable one or only put it on certain pages so that credit can still be easily given to you
Also last time I checked change isn't always entirely good
Example:
The October or November Revolution (can't remember which month) caused change and it was this change that led to Stalin becoming the leader of Russia
Though I probably could've thought of a better example please reconsider

I think Fakku deserve to put watermark on the hard work you do. if Fakku still feel uneasy about it, just make a polling, i think the user will understand.. It's free site anyway...
that's good release, thx..

I honestly haven't noticed you put a 'FAKKU!' watermark on the lower right corner of every page. And frankly, I don't mind. You do quality stuff anyways. And I thank you for each and every release (even if I don't comment much). But if you wanna put out your watermarks, it's fine too. Just don't forget to always put your extra rant page in the beginning (I find those funny and cool). :)
Very nice release, BTW! Thanks!

Sweet, another to add to my saved folder. Thanks guys!
I like the Fakku! Watermark :(
If it is placed on other sites, unchanged, other people will know where the quality work came from. If I forget were I got the peace, it shows me... and it makes me think of all of you while I am...reading... it!
It's not so much claiming it as your own, in my opinion. It's really more of just showing who put all the work into it.
If you leave your wallet on the street without any contact info in it, who wouldn't take it?
Anyway, I'll stand behind your choices whatever they are. Wish the marks would stay, but I trust you guys know what your doing.

I personally don't mind the water marks. But if you guys feel that the next step in evolution for Fakku is removing them, do it.
Really appreciate all the releases you guys put out and all of your hard work!!!

...To summarize, from now on we will not be watermarking our releases.
There were watermarks? I actually never noticed them in the first place (had to check older releases to see if they were there) and I do agree with the people that want them still there. Credit should go where credit is due - and you guys aren't doing it for that reason, but it just pisses me off when other people try to pass it off as their own.
I suppose it doesn't really affect me since I don't actively look in the bottom right corner but I think a lot of people prefer it with the watermarks.

I don't have a strong opinion on watermarks if they're unobtrusive... However, I hate websites that take unedited material from somewhere else and put their watermark on it (e.g., Ebaumsworld, AerisDies, etc.)...
I digress, however, since that's not the case with Fakku.
In any case, the Fakku watermark was fairly large, and if someone were determined to steal the translation, they'd probably do a sloppy clone and call it a day regardless.
It's rare to see an author use a watermark on their own work, so I wonder if it's appropriate for a translator to do so.
