[Orcsoft] Oral Lessons With Chii-chan

Hey y'all! Sorry for the miscommunication here around our pre-order refund policy.

G0dricKiln did send a support request to us looking for a refund a few weeks before this delay announcement. Not getting a refund for this game and then seeing this post from the fourth of September is understandably frustrating.

The main reason we weren't able to offer a refund at the time of G0dricKiln's contact with us is because of time limitations for refund processing through the online store platform we use.

There's other options to get G0dricKiln a refund, and I'll follow up with them in a ticket detailing what we can do to work around this.

Beyond that, it looks like we forgot to promptly change the release date for this game from Summer to Winter 2019 on our store and the website. That's now been updated so there won't be further confusion for anyone who purchases it in the future.

To be fair they are still in the summer 2019 window. Summer doesn’t technically end until the 23rd. 👀

I didnt downvote you? Also I am certain when I checked that morning it still said summer 2019, but I guess they changed it to winter that same day. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Short update since it's been a while.

We're making solid progress across the board, but a fair bit still needs to be done (image editing, additional tech. work, beta testing). Translation and editing should be wrapping up fairly soon though, and I'll post about it when it's done.

Thank you for posting an update. I think I speak for all the people who preordered when I say that we just want to know that the game is being worked on and that we didn't waste our money.

Thanks for the update. I shouldn't be angry about this tbh since the stuff takes time. Delayed release dates aside, I'm just happy this wasn't ignored.

Very happy to report that the main game's translation is now complete! We're moving on to the Afterstory now (which is significantly shorter, but still about 1/5th the total length of the main game).

Oh shit! I really should have looked further into before mentioning @Mr_Quof. Thanks for telling me that. Honestly, after you mentioned that, I'm really starting to feel a bit agitated with Fakku on how it has handle their translations of games. All of them seem to have an issue in their localization of their games in some way or another.

Hmmm.....we'll see if the game releases this December cause things can go from good to bad and considering this was delayed for a while.

This is false. The portion of the translation Quof was responsible for will absolutely be present in the final release. We would never scrap high quality work like that.

The Fakku Games team is still very small at the moment. We don't really have anyone in-house solely dedicated to game localization tasks so to speak, but that might change in the future!

This is also false. The translation wasn't finished back in February; nor was that our internal target for its completion. IIRC, Quof finished translating Escalayer for MangaGamer around that time. Are you possibly confusing that with Chii-chan? Anyway, Quof unfortunately had other obligations that took priority over Chii-chan for him, so we brought additional translators on board to finish the rest of the game up. I can assure you their work is comparable in quality to his.

Again, the Fakku Games team is very small, and I also made several mistakes this year that contributed to Chii-chan's delay.

The after story is roughly 1/5th the length of the base game. By character count alone the entire game (after story included) is 450k characters. Hemoimo is about 2/3rd the length of Chii-chan's after story in comparison.

I hope that clears up some of your concerns, and I apologize for any confusion I caused.
