It does seem to be a trend but as long as Jacob's "reposts are allowed" rule exists you'll just have to ignore it.

But there's something called pushing the limit.
When another user gets annoyed by shit other users do, there's a problem.

It seems like nobody can be completely satisfied.

If someone reposts a thread, then they get smacked and said learn to use the search function.

If somebody does take the time to do that, then they're slammed with the 'quit necro bumping'

Personally, from my experience with forums, most forums do not allow necrobumping.

I would suggest locking all threads after being 5 pages within the section of forums.
If the only thread you want to make is 5 pages + in the search function - then you're free to make another thread in it.

However, if there are threads before the 5th page, then they're allowed to post in it and advised not to make a new thread.

If somebody finds an older version of the newly remake and posts it, then the mod deletes the newer one and suggest people posting on the older one if they want to continue the topic.

If the mod happens to notice it, then I think they should provide a link when they lock it so that everyone can then go to that older thread.

The locking thing after 5 pages in the forums is a good idea. Or not, I dunno.

And we're no picking on EVERY repost thread (this is the first time I complained about this). It's just that we had one thread exatcly the same not longer than a week ago. Bumping it wouldn't hurt.

I like it the way Fakku does it now. Fakku is different than other forums because you are free to do so many things. It really upsets me when people bitch about that. Makes me think if people keep complaining about such trivial things than Jacob will just change Fakku into every other dull, stupid forum out there. I don't want that at all.

Just because there's order to something, doesn't mean it's dull. That means it's structured and people care about the site.

Maybe not dull overall, but it would make this site duller than it already is. I mean it's just Random. I don't see why this forum has to be so structure and totalitarian. It just makes me worried that this site would eventually become so strict and bland. I know if it were to get that bad I'd leave and I'm sure many others would do. This place is fun because it is so free.

Not to diss on Fakku, but there are plenty of other places to get hentai. That's not the reason, at least in my opinion, that this place is popular. It is because you can talk about anything and everything here without having to worry about what anyone else thinks.

I've been meaning to point this out, and it frustrated me that it's been a "Damned if you do, damned if you don't," situation.

There are moderators for a reason and a mod's job to be a mod. I shouldn't have to point out the obvious. There's been too many wanna be mods flying round the past couple weeks without solving anything except starting flame wars all over. There's plenty of reasons to go here instead of other hentai sites.
1. It's free.
2. The staff are completely available to you and listen to you
3. No viruses
4. Easy Navigation
5. The community isn't 4chan.

When I joined, I stayed because I enjoyed the community. I've almost been here for a year now (one more month) and I can say things in my opinion have drastically gone down hill.

You have an extraordinary ability to be okay with absolutely everything.
There's no reason why we can't have *some* structure to the rules.

You can still joke, you can still play, you can still post plenty of perverted images. I just find no reason to clutter the forums with the same threads over and over and over again.

I'd like to be that way, but I'm not. My rant in Hime's thread about leaving demonstrates I'm not there yet. I try to be very aloof about everything, but I can't stand when someone harasses someone close to me.

That doesn't change the fact that there needs to be some change.

I also brought it to Jacobs attention that it shouldn't be tolerated to target another person in the forums. If you need to get in contact with somebody individually - that's what the PM system is for.

No offense, but that is exactly the core of the problem as I see it. It's "just Random". It's "just Serious Discussion". It's "just the forum of a porn site". That is exactly one of the main reasons why Serious Discussion has become the new Random and Random the new Incoherent Babbling.
I'm well aware that you cannot magically regulate quality content into being, but nobody will bother with making meaningful posts or even only passing a basic reading comprehension test if it's just XY, where every madcap is free to do as they please.
Structure does not have to be totalitarian, there's a sizeable grey area in between totalitarianism and anarchy.

From now on, masturbation threads go in IB. Mark them if you see them.
