I'm not trying to point fingers or anything. I just don't like repetitive threads. You can put your idea somewhere where someone has already stated their opinions on a related subject of your idea.

People are just pushing the limits on what they can do. When I first joined I was extremely careful about what I said and how acted. Why? Because I wanted to know my boundary on where I stood. Rules can only tell you so much. It may seem like I'm an elitist, but I know where I stand. That's why I'm comfortable with Fakku.

Ok time for a shameless plug for IRC. PD pmed me a rebuttal and I asked him to come talk to me in IRC so we could discuss with more ease. Now of course since we're both lazy bastards this means you all probably miss out on the important revelations but I'll try to summarize what our conclusions were anyway.
1) We need to strike some kind of balance between making examples of what people do wrong for others to learn from, letting the moderators handle some things, and just talking to people privately to explain what we think they've doing wrong.
2) It causes a lot of tension when someone (probably one of the oldfags) who is popular with others reprimands someone and then suddenly everyone else joins in jumping up and down on that person for their mistake. If you see someone reprimanded for something more than twice in one thread you should probably just leave it alone (unless they've doing it over and over then I guess it's up to your judgment).
3) We'll never get to a point where everyone is happy because part of what a good portion of what people enjoy here is the arguments and fighting and some nonsensical spam. It's just that we need to cut down on it quite a bit for everyone to be...uh....balancedly unhappy/happy? If nobody ever argued or did pointless shit everyone would probably get bored and leave so we certainly aren't saying don't do it at all.

To tell the truth, I have never been in favour of the "reposts are allowed in random" rule, perhaps due to my own beliefs and principles. However, Jacob is the boss here so what he says goes.
Alternatively, the Admins and Mods can choose to merge all related threads.
