Not really. Just nice to have. Note that you will not have access to any of the titles you'd get through playing the story if you make an instant 60, though.

Not really. Just nice to have. Note that you will not have access to any of the titles you'd get through playing the story if you make an instant 60, though.

Still, I always prefer to make my own choices instead of having an instant 60 with default choices and skills.

hmmm.. you maybe right. When I think on why I play this game the answer is the story. If I just skipped the story then I would really have no reason to even play it. Guess I won't do that then, just trying to find out how to kindle interest in playing the trooper

what class and spec do you like most for trooper?Not sure I really have any preferences, but according to my notes here, my first one was a Gunnery Commando and the second currently stalled one a Tactics Vanguard.

I think thats exactly the path I have done. Initially a gunnery commando then re made because I wanted to vary her more from my mercenary and made her a tactics vanguard. Wonder if I should try the tanking spec?

My Knight played through the whole story as a defense guardian, it was fun

As a previous subscriber, you should have preferred status, right? I think they increased the number of active characters for those in 4.0 as well. You could take a look and see whether you can access this character now.
