He's a fucking badass quarterback. If you've read the manga, you all know what I mean.

A lot of people are confusing Gar for cold-blood.

Spike is cool too, like the James Bond of anime.

Well he's not a sociopath or a crazy person who puts himself in harms way for no reason like a lot of the other nominees so far but he blows shit up with little effort. He's a professional soldier who does his duty and is an officer so he knows how to lead. And then there's the fact that to be a State Alchemist you seem to have to be pretty damn smart.

He has god like running speed, awesome piloting skills, and the spinzaku the move that defies all logic and physics.

sorry, too much of a bitch, his (geass inspired) survival instinct which would cause him to throw women and children in the path of large dangerous objects to save himself disqualify him for sure.

Negi is NOT gar. The fact that the whole class likes him doesn't mean he's gar.

As for Suzaku: The survival geass totally makes him un-gar. Especially that one fight he ran away from (I think he ran from Charles) like a little bitch.

Half the thread is basically filled with nominations of characters that wouldn't be GAR even if they got free lessons from Guts, i mean, Yuuki Rito? Kyon? Suzaku? Wtf?...

For a character to be consider GAR he needs to be so manly that he makes bitches pregnant just by looking at them.

Reason:
To me, manliness comes mainly not from appearances, but from deeds, beliefs, and effort.

He is a man of his word, and he fights for his beliefs. He is also very strong willed. He puts emotion aside and and makes good decisions accordingly without bias. Not only is he an excellent fighter, he is a great leader and a superb strategist. To top it all off, his moves are badass, and the BGM is addictive xD
