There's almost no RPG's with post game.Try pretty much every Square Enix RPG, Every Pokemon game, Disgaea and reams of other RPGs. Hell Post-Game content is very much a staple in the RPG genre: Side-quests, max leveling, multiplayer, extra-classes and 100% completion all of which are generally achieved after the completion of the main storyline. An RPG without a post-game would, unless done well, feel very incomplete as Antw0n has already said. All that leveling and hours spent but no sense of permanent achievement besides having completed the story.

Holy shit, get the fuck out of here. EVERYONE POINT AND SHAME HIM FOR BEING A TERRIBLE HUMAN BEING, FUCK THAT HE ISNT WORTHY OF BEING CALLED HUMAN, AS OF NOW YOU ARE A DOG. If you want to be upgraded to the primate group get to playing.I'd rather not. I sort of felt like I wanted to play Skyrim when it first got a trailer but since then I've seen so many friends and streamers played it that I've come to the conclusion that it's just not a game for me. However, Fallout is a different question, I actually do want to play Fallout 3 but I've never taken the time to either buy or torrent it. And I don't know fuck all about Dragons Age but people say it's gud, I just haven't felt like I need to play it.

I wish that the DA series handled better. The story-telling and characters are amazing, to say the least, but playing it always felt so awkward for me. Like, I let myself get into the game but I never quite sunk completely into it. Try as I might there was always a disconnect with my character- and it usually boiled down to the controls. Combat was so clunky and the camera wasn't exactly a helping hand.
I'm a huge fan of RPG's but DA never was able to grab me. I wanted to like it, to love it, but unfortunately that just didn't happen for me.

Risen didn't have any post game, Deus EX, Witcher games, Last Remnant. The fact that you're arguing this point makes me question whether you misunderstand what I mean by post game. Any game that continues on after the final boss is dead, or can be killed. Skyrim is a good example, you could complete the story and go on to do everything else after. The vast majority of what you named are also jrpgs and I want to point out how drastically different the two are. The DA series and most of bioware rpgs have been part of the classic North American style with the exception of the mass effect series which allowed for post game(which no one did). Welcome to the conversation bagman, try to keep up.
edit: I like that btw, come into a conversation, read a few lines and pick what you feel like arguing. It takes sand to pull off something that lazy/retarded.

This is pretty much how I feel about Dragon Age: Origins. I might finish it one day, but I don't feel the need to any time soon. Post-game/endgame content has little to do with it (hell, I don't really pay much attention to that anyway, some games just work best in just one play through).
However, DA2 was just a disaster, and just because it had a restricted development schedule doesn't excuse it from being even worse than the already meh predecessor. If anything, that piles more blame on EA for handling it so badly.

So we're only keeping things in this discussion that help to prove your point and nothing else? A JRPG is still an RPG. Two different types of apples are still apples.
edit
I see what you're saying but subgenres still fall under the main genre

Tbh the fact you stated DAO was meh without having finished it highlights something sad in the current state of affairs, people dont complete games anymore. So people everywhere shit on Call of Duty for having 5-6 hours single player campaign but don't have the attention span for the 40+ hours an rpg will have.
Btw, if you didnt finish DAO did you even play DA2, you're not wrong about how bad it was but is it your opinion or are you just repeating something you heard? This series may not be for you, and that's a shame because it's a fantastic piece, and it really is your loss.

What? It was originally my point so I get to clarify what it meant. Bagman wasn't even addressing what we were talking about, simply picking one line out of my entire statement which he found fault in. The debate originally stated because someone wanted open world sandbox rpg's like skyrim and my point was that very few of those exist, which I still insist is correct, the list which Bagman provided isn't anywhere near what ant was looking for.

Dude, can we get back to jerking off with our green hand(s)?
Fuck these inferior games.
Actually, can we just turn this into a Sarah thread?

I played DA Origins for a few hours, but the combat to me was... eh. But who knows, maybe I'll try it again.

Hey, there's a Waar Room.
Leliana, Rashida Jones and a dashing paragon of a man-stud convey with you in secret. You scuffle over some dusty old maps and play a sporting game of Warhammer 40K.
You got good taste.
