Hell no. It is good, and Rebuild leagues better than the original (and IMHO the movie crowns them all, if not for the fact that Shinji is a useless pussy), but there are a lot of better anime out there.

And it always boils down to personal preferences in the end. Just saying.

Never said I liked Gundam Seed Destiny. Aside from Strike Freedom, Infinite Justice and Akatsuki.

Now I have never watched Seed but from what I've heard it's pretty bad. However I have watched the Evanglion movies as well as Neon Genesis Evanglion and I like it very much.(aside from Shinji, he's a massive faggot)

In fact I like it so much that I would even consider it one of the best around. So from your previous statement, you're implying that the Evanglion movies and/or NGE is one shitty mecha anime. Now on that point you're wrong.

I've never seen the movies but I have watched the original Eva series and IMO, it was pretty bad. Useless religious references, main characters that had worse mental illnesses than normal, vagina hands at the end. It was a pretty big mess.

Gundam SEED was actually an ok series that revived the Gundam franchise and is one of the most popular of all Gundam series (in Japan). So much so that the Freedom and Strike Freedom are just as iconic as the RX-78 and Char's Zaku. Gundam SEED Destiny was kinda bad due to the author being not very qualified for the job, but it was still entertaining.

Just because a series is angsty beyond all reason does not automatically make it a master piece.

Also, let it be noted that eva's are angels iirc. Angels are born of adam, so are the same as humans, just took on a different form. There was one manly figure, but he was shot by motherfigure/ sexy older bitch Kaji (he was also a spy, so that's pretty interesting... sorta). The teeth serve the purpose of eating the angels, because fuck angels. Bitchface is a bitch, I can see why he'd ditch from that. Also, to re-iterate, the eva's aren't mechas... They're armoured beings. :>
