I don't think they spend too much time laughing at the military, especially if they've ever been on the bad side of us. Unfortunately because of the politicians constant misuse of us we've developed somewhat of a negative reputation. If you're using my opinion on women in the infantry as reference then i'd like to say i truly regret that i feel this way. It's not that i hate women in general, i just have a general distaste for all the women in the military picking up promotions faster than my junior Marines. The ones who skate by meeting their lower standards that are forcing the hardworking ones out because even though the military is downsizing they still want us to appeal to women. It's not all of them but unfortunately i've seen enough and dealt with enough references to have developed my opinion.

If you're using that other kid's fantasies as your reference then i'd approve because i'm just envisioning him as another one of those obese teens that play around on the internet too much that our country is becoming more and more famous for. So i wouldn't feel too bad knowing that i don't really associate him with the rest of us.

well it worked(usually there was one other dude it just rilled him up more) on youtube people kept flaming me spamming me and some jackasses even sent death threats I told em that they cannot now or ever scare me cause my experiences with the gangs made me a lot more tougher then well pretty much almost everyone I met (except a few people I know in the military like in a fistfight I think I'd be able to hold my own against most privates and corporal ranked but anyone higher then that basically the more seasoned vets I just assume they would probably knock me out flat I don't like to overestimate or underestimate myself fyi this is just a guess I've never actually fought a person in the military I mostly just fought a bunch of lowlife thugs) pretty much after I gave them a bit of my personal history most of em just shut up but I guess telling people of my past here just makes people even more aggravated.

actually I'm not too worried about my past effecting my recruitment to the military the thing I'm worried about is the fact that I got diagnosed with PTSD
did one of the checklist things with both my psychiatrist and therapist both say that it is possible to treat it over time though so I might not join anytime soon but I will be trying to apply once I'm "cured" of PTSD, just hoping it doesn't have too bad of an effect on me when I do apply but yea like I said my past is the least of my worrys.

If it worked "on Youtube" as you say it's because those that you were responding obviously were more stupid than you are. Anyone who takes a threat made between two anonymous parties on the interweebs seriously needs to wake the fuck up. People here might be a bit more desensitized that the average youtube-dweller but anyone who justifies being an asshole on their childhood is... If you seriously want to join the military I think you should consider the probability that it's not only brawn or how well you can hold yourself in a fistfight that constitutes your rank. I would say that brawn is a marginally small part of what makes a soldier rise in ranks. So I have to tell you to throw the "I can beat someone up to this rank." mindset out the window. That is some shit anchored in fiction and not reality.

I wasn't basing it off rank was basing it off experience just said rank because usually the higher the rank the more combat experience they have wasn't attributing rank to actual strength it takes more then just strength to do good in a fistfight too people who are too gung-ho headstrong or just impatient that try to rush everything are often the first ones to get the crap beaten outta them (or the first to get killed in terms of gunfights) its way to easy to see where they are headed from the way they move and how fast they move makes em predictable thus easy to turn there own brute force against them via use of proper positioning strike placement and overall momentum of the target

obviously I know plenty on how multiple factors can come in to play in not only fistfights but combat in general don't assume I know nothing of combat
but given the fact that you refuse to accept that my past is real, I probably should assume you will also consider me to know nothing of fighting aswell.

from my understanding combat is basically from a mix of the physical traits strength and speed with planning and trying to figure out where the other person will move and when and where to hit them to inflict the most pain or damage to the target to ultimately incapacitate(knock out) or disable the person so they are unable to continue fighting or in more aggressive cases actually killing them

gunfights are almost the same only differences are its more based on speed and planning then brute force first off your just trying to figure out where the other person is before they find you find out if there hostile or not and in the case that they are hostile speed mostly comes into play in the actual gunfight how fast you can get you gun out how fast you can (accurately) aim it and how fast you can reload or fire basically to shoot them before they shoot you only real place I can see physical strength coming into play is carrying a heavy weapon or how well a person can handle the recoil.

Why explain this when there's no need to? You avoid mentioning military organization and protocols because, I believe, you think you're being smart when you talk about what you do know, which is nothing about what Chlor was talking about. You have to be mentally strong as well as physically to move up above corporal, which may be a weak suit because of PTSD.

why do you think I said I could hold my own against corporals and privates its cause I belive I am on a equal skill level to them in terms of training and combative experience but I still believe that a sergeant is much more experienced then I am as such I agree they probably would knock me out atleast till I am able to gain more experience and build up more muscle via a proper use of workouts trainings and actual combat experiences

I thought he was talking about skill didn't think he meant a more psychological type thing my mistake anyway I guess it depends on what you mean by mental strength in terms of the PTSD I do not breakdown I do not start crying or get fearful I turn aggressive, I can get extremely hostile when physically threatened or provoked (I literally almost assaulted someone directly behind me because of a loud noise a friend made right behind me) so I guess in terms of mental strength you could say I lack self control

I did not avoid mentioning I simply never thought of it my knowledge is limited to fighting some warfare tactics and actual combat I have little to no knowledge of anything outside of combat(in terms of military), I have practically zero knowledge of protocols or organization so what's the point of me trying to speak of something I know nothing of? when I would in the end be purposely wrong due to lack of proper information? unless your willing to enlighten me on the subject?

This is the stuff that makes me want to say that the military is an extremely poor choice for you. The military doesn't want nor have any use of hot-headed brutes. Mental stability and self-control is something that is more important than both skill and ability.

Join the Air National Guard. You'll fit in well with them and the rest of their war stories.

given the fact that a lot of people in other branches of the military say alot of bad things about the air force(mostly calling them cowards for "running away from the real fighting on the ground, hiding inside a jet, etc.) it wouldn't be to hard to assume your statement as an insult

but I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and say this
in actuality that wouldn't work out well for me I've trained for actual combat (both melee and gunfights) I have no knowledge of planes or jets just seems pointless for me to ignore my current skills knowledge training and physical build to rush into something that not only wouldn't require that type of knowledge and experience but also need me to take on a whole different type of training that I have no knowledge of from scratch

its plain out stupid me trying to go into air force? that's like working to get a degree as a lawyer then when you finally get it you drop out of it and work as a blockbuster casher
