See, I know Jacob is allergic to bans, so I highly doubt that. It's more likely that y... that guy was given several warnings and did not heed them, or made alt accounts during a temp ban which turned it into a perma, or did something so completely abhorrent to Jacob that he issued a perma right away. Or a combination thereof.

To me that's trying to abuse the system and making my job harder for you own benefit. You still use alternate accounts(I've banned one or two) which is also considered a permaban-able offense. These are the fact that ensure you will not be permitted to return, or use your "mantis skin".

Anyone watching this should take one thing from this case; if you're ever banned and decide to make an alternate account don't do anything that will let the mods figure out who you are. It's our job to keep you off the site.

Your first ban was 3 days(the minimum ban possible). You decided not to take that ban(not up to you) and made an alternate account immediately after you received the ban. The instant you made an alt you forfeited all of your privileges as a member of this community, in effect you told the staff you didn't care about our judgement and would do what you will regardless of what we decided. You then proceeded to make 6 different alts which I banned effectively compounding any case I had against you ever being allowed back. Jake eventually took a look at your case and we talked about it and decided we would give you one more chance, I made it very clear to you that it was your last chance and if I saw anything that gave me pause I would not hesitate to finalize your ban. 4 days later you sent someone a pm which was considered harassment by most(if not all) staff. The funny part is that I'm the most tolerant staff member in terms of harassment, I generally let kids deal with their own problems and being mean to each other is something I applaud, had you not been on "parole" for your recent actions I probably would have let you off with a stern warning.

The moral of this story kids is that if a moderator bans you(likely for 3 days at first) take the ban and come back in 3 days, trying to fight us will only add to your problems.

I agree with most of what you said but giving lean way is definitely a problem. I was under the impression that the mods were to ensure the rules were being followed and to ensure the safety of its users so you saying you would just let it slide can be a problem.

That brings me to something else, why do you have rules posted in IB and people aren't even following the majority of them. I didn't get that part never did. I've seen users actually trying to abide by these so called rules and its like "well shit if the people here don't abide by it then why should I"?, Which creates misunderstanding and problems so you're making your own job harder by not enforcing these rules you've posted but no biggie.

Are you asking if harassment is something new? Or something we've ever dealt with it before? I cant remember any other incident where a user refused to stop harassing another. I did however get asphodel, circe, and sam something to leave her alone at one point when she felt harassed.

If a banned user has friends on the website that they want to proceed talking to, they should consider other means of communicating before breaking the rules; forums are fine enough, but there are more convenient ways of communicating rather forums (no offense to Fakku).
Also, the rules are partially 'out of the way'; most non rules jut in the way. One has to want to break the rules (see: Ekuson, Littlesheepkid {or whatever his name was}).
