And from what I've seen, ea's customer service isn't that bad... They've fixed the game, it's running perfectly... they're giving out a free game to those who bought sim city on launch.
I haven't experienced any other customer service shit with them, though. Can't comment on anything else.
I will say, simcity was worth the wait. The only issue is the download usage, which affects me a tonne. Waiting for the drm free crack
Besides, the whole simcity thing, about 90% of the things people complained about were people being retarded. Everything refund related was people being retarded, and not thinking. Servers were full from the beginning (as said), updates sometimes failed (as said)... But, the server issues are all fixed.
But, this one of the first ea games I've bought in a while (besides mass effect 2)
1. Yes it is bad.
2. Digital copies don't cost them much especially when those copies aren't even full versions of the games.
3. Always online DRM is anti consumer, supporting such practices makes you a cancerous faggot.
4. They've done much worse than SimCity, and will continue to do so.
I like this, makes it easier to pick points
1. Probably. As I said, i haven't seen anything bad yet (having said that, I haven't really talked to them. tried to at some point, but they were pretty flooded, as you'd expect from the launch day. Was trying to fix something on origin, which is shit) But, they fixed the servers pretty fast, and are apparently giving free games, which seems decent (again, no idea on other aspects)
2. I don't get what you mean? The digital copies were the full game? (unless you're talking in general, then maybe. For simcity they are the full game, as far as I'm aware) Besides that, people wanted refunds for something that doesn't work, but will soon. Not only that, the codes are attached to their origin account/ people could have written the code down (this being for returning physical copies or something for a refund). which, if they were allowed to do that, I imagine there'd be a few people who'd buy it, get the code, return it, and sell the code for money, or something.
As for the people getting banned for getting money back from the bank, that is also pretty fair. They are essentially stealing the money back (too tired to try and go into that further... can't remember the points)
3. I never said I support it... I said it's shit, and I don't like it/ am waiting for the drmfree patch. It chews through my quota, and is annoying
4. True and true. My main anger being for the need for speed series at it's current state

You don't support them so you bough simcity(knowing full well they were going to release this game with draconian anti piracy measure like always online drm) and willingly use Origin on your computer?
I don't want this thread to be my personal anti-EA hate campaign so I'll refrain from talking about them from now on.

UPS delivered my dads computer to the wrong address...which happens to be a apartment complex. Which means they have no real way of tracing it.
So i will just go with them

Don't crucify me for this but I thought ME3 was a good game with the exception of the ending. Multiplayer is equally as fun as the campaign with its continuous updates.

The only really bad thing I heard about any of these companies recently is what EA did with SimCity
Stopping you from getting a refund because you didn't get the thing you bought. But to even go as far as stopping you from getting to use other stuff you bought from them is just fucking low.

I thought ME3 was a fantastic game, the ending was just so bad that it ruined the entire experience for me. Which brings me to my OT..
I see no reason to dethrone the champs in this poll, EA, like certain other gaming companies(capcom comes to mind) seems to thoroughly enjoy ruining franchises and screwing their loyal customers. Also, i still blame them for the ending of ME3, I'm sure they had a hand in that disaster.
I hope Bioware bounces back with DA3, i genuinely enjoyed 2, despite all its flaws, and was genuinely disappointed when they canceled the expansion. Hopefully EA backs off and lets them create a good game again.

EA by far. Aside from shit to nonexistant customer support, they're also quick to the banhammer. I can't tell you how many times I've gotten banned without warning for minor offences on Spore.
The other companies I've either had no problem with, don't use or don't exist in the UK.

Chill out man. Of course I don't actually think they're the worst company in America. I didn't really post that as a 100% serious response.
