I imagine that Azelle's fear of fighting/conflict isn't a fear of fighting itself but fear of something thats a resu;t of fighting. Much like my fear of heights.*nods*
That's true.... In one way or another.
Oh, my dear brother also has the same fear as you, Valeriy-san. He got that after returned from a certain training days when he was 15 years old. Before, he got no problem with heights, but after that..... *sigh*

I've only mentioned I have a fear of heights and briefly stated that what it truly is is a fear of something related to heights. I believe its too early for you to state that what your brother and I have are the same.

Anyone who claims to have a fear of heights without having experienced sky diving is lying, they're not scared of heights, they're experiencing their mind reacting to an outrageous environment which leads them to calculate that they might be potentially in danger.

Well, I don't know what happened in that training days since he refused to talk about it, but I can say for sure he's dead scared of heights. He never again wants to travel with airplanes without a quite nack of sleeping pills (he never travels using airplanes ever since). I think it is quite understatement to say they're lying about their fear of heights just because they never experienced sky diving, Hilt-san.
@Valeriy: You're right. I'm sorry then.

Which causes me to move onto the next part. My fear of heights is not in fact a fear of heights itself. Rather, whenever I'm in high areas, I imagine myself falling. Thus, it'd be more acurate to say that I have a fear of falling.

Well that's a shame XD. Perhaps it's just that I've been flying regularly since I was in my youth that heights don't scare me. I dont exactly like falling though much like you kei, I can remember hating grappling and diving not because of that push in your stomach that occurs but because of my fear of landing that's reminiscent of a hypnagogic myoclonic twitch when you awake from a dream and even trivial things such as jumping in a video game cause me to clench my jaw XD

I'm afraid you've mistook me for your absent commander.
My name is Valeriy Keironavich Kuzma, serving as a substitute commander this week since Keirova-san is busy IRL. My relation to Keirova-san, IRL, is that I am his younger cousin.
And that is quite interesting, your fear, and I hope you'll be able to overcome it. I would try and overcome my fears as well if I had the time and resources. Maybe sometime when I'm older. . .

Revealing a dissociative identity disorder would have been more delicious but I accept your fugue state with the hopes of a imouto trap.

I see you're quite the delusional character.
*sighs*

Falling, eh..... But, won't it hinder your work in the military, Valeriy-san?

For the main army, I don't really think fear of heights will affect your duties much.'Main Army' isn't really the most appropriate word to use. Properly, you'd have the Military Force then the branches being Army, Navy and Airforce and whatever other branches that force would have, like the American Marines for example.
@Azelle, I'm slowly overcoming it. Went absailing down a 30 meter cliff face last year. I think I handled it. . . fairly well.

Not everybody is capable of defeating their demons by themselves, you should try and give him support.

Good to hear that, siblings should always look out for each other.
But try and encourage him to do height related activities. Don't have to be too high but get him to slowly crawl out from his comfort zone. He'll eventually get used to it. . . I hope

Same here, but my is fairly weak. I was okay even on top of Eiffel tower, really enjoyed the ride on London eye and most recently I was on top of Český Krumlov castle's belfry (which is unaccessible for normal mortals).
A picture for reference (the big one behind):

They have those kind of 'support' groups where people who all share a common fear or something get together to overcome it together. I see a lot of advertising for these groups in the local newsletters but I'm not sure if the countries you're all in have them
