Though I understand there are advantages to an SMG, I always prefer using a compact carbine of sorts instead for CQB. AAC Honey Badger is a fairly good one.

I know the MP7 and P90 (MW3 player here)
But damn, Magpul PDR looks nice.

I would go with Magpul PDR it is one cool concept and it is using 5.56 NATO and STANAG (and P-mags etc etc)... It is in my opinion one of the best thoughts that happened lately in compact "long" guns

I won't deny the PDR is a magnificent design if not a little bit overhyped(no thanks to the gaming industry, first V-22s now this). An intermediate caliber bullpup is nothing new, Magpul has just stepped it up by giving it a compact and ergonomic(hopefully) design.
I would say it's much like what happened with their Masada rifle except it didn't get as much coverage under their name(mainly presented as Bushmaster licensed ACR). Personally, I'd love to get my hands on the Polish Radom, that looks delicious.

Man, you guys sure are racking up the notifications here. I was almost at 3 digits and almost missed a PM.
I don't have much of an opinion on the PDR. It's only physical in prototype dummies and recently airoft rifles. If they're taking that long to bring it through, it's lost my interest.
Radom is an interesting piece of work(unlike their new sniper rifle; too space gun), the Polish are one of the few countries I've seen nowadays making an effort to modernize it's combat personnel rather than make them redundant.

Fine, being 2IC isn't as fun as the Drill Sergeant.
I also missed my chance to join the unit heading to Iraq. Oh well, defending the embassy that most likely wouldn't be high priority targets for either side would've been boring anyway(still more exciting than here though)

Oh yeah, heard that they sent a unit up there recently. Was your period of inactivity mainly because you were trying to be a part of that?
0
No, my inactivity was mainly because I've been working long hours of my own will because I have little to no motivation of going home which is 5 minutes away. Should try getting back into a hobby though but I have no clue what to do.

Well, if you ask me, I'd try my hand at gardening. I imagine the whole raising of plants and nurturing them until they bear fruit would appeal to that fatherly side of you which you almost completely ignore.
0
Heh, trust me Val, there is a lot of things that I neglect for various reasons. I highly doubt I deserve to be a father for anything.

Alright man, don't go bringing yourself down again. Personally, I think you need a time out, one can only go so far for so long. Maybe get of the comp and lie down for a bit.
I'm heading to sleep now anyway, exhausted from rock climbing today.

Start from modern armor and end up by building a small battle diorama.

Right, I guess I'll go do that if only for a bit. But don't expect me to take a break from work any time soon, you know why. See you later.
@Data, I fall in and out of model building, when it's time to go back again I will. Speaking of which, I have two or three HGUC kits I never worked on from last time. . .

@Kei: I would also recommend to go back to the model building. :D

Funny you mention that. Yesterday I was for the first time climbing the artificial wall and the fell after he let me down was like: "You climb often?" and I was like "I did that for the first time in my life." :D

Same, I think model building is a good hobby to have. One that I should try to dedicate more time to as well.
@Lance, Yeah I'm hoping to make it a regular thing, especially since I had to apply for membership when I went. Thinking I might invite the Task Force to it some time as well.

There is a big artificial wall centre not so far... I think I could check that one out. :) And I think I know just the person that might have experience as well.

Good on you. I wanna gain experience on the artificial stuff and then graduate to natural landscape. Done abseiling before in my cadet days and that was hella fun.
