Kamp Kuzma: The Operators' Campgrounds (For Operating)

Reporting back after a week(?) of MIA. The case was of lightning strike hitting too close to home. Not only did it kill internet for the entire area but sent my house into a blackout for a few hours.

So while it was a crap situation to be in, it has given me some ideas for countermeasures. For starters, I'm thinking of getting a battery bank for auxiliary power wired to maybe the solar panels installed here or perhaps a generator in the future.

Pretty much, this incident has motivated me to do some SHTF preparations which I've been sorely needing to get done. Be looking forward to any more discussions in this genre(and none of that Doomsday Prepper crap either)

I've noticed our breakers get sensitive when the winter hits. Lead to two breaks of main breaker already but the cause is still unknown to me. If I am playing a game or something it's A-OK but it always breaks when I am not doing anything taxing for the grid like just browsing the web or watching a vid.
I would love to get my hands on some UPS.
I live in a flat so there are limits of what can I do here. We should call the owner about this problem that's one thing and for me the other is to get the UPS. I've been watching the availability but I am not that versed in the aspect. If anybody got tips/tricks they are appreciated.

Yeah I like Desert Tan almost as much as matte black on guns. But I do have problems with I believe RAL 9000 color. It is too bright for my taste.
