Tony Taka VS Ishikei: Who does it better? Round 2

I went with Taka, been a huge fan for as long as I had a name to apply to the art.

I voted for Taka. As mentioned above, his art looks really soft, and the faces of the girls he draws are so elegant and pretty.

Ishikei. Many (on 4chan) say both Ishikei and TT "draw the same faces over and over again". And as much I hate saying this, but Taka really does that. He draws the same eyes on almost everyone. He has like 2 or 3 different pairs of eyes he uses. And Ishikei on the other hand draws more different looking girls. If you compare Ishikei's Lucky Star girls to her Kannagi girls for example. He keeps his own style, and changes little things about the characters to make them look more like the originals. Like his lucky star girls have bigger eyes, bigger heads and so on. And Ishikei has in general more varying eyes and faces.

Also Ishikeis coloring skills are GODLY. If my coloring skills were even one fifth of his, I'd explode of happiness. And he draws the best breasts too. Even tho I'm not a fan of huge breasts, Ishikei draws the best big breasts (I'm glad he doesnt do that stuff that much anymore). They dont look like fake balloons, but neither do they sag way too much like real breasts of that sizes would. And Ishikeis small breasts and flat chests are just godly ;_;
And Ishikeis cum is absolutely the best looking drawn cum I have ever seen. While Taka draws that white thick mayo looking stuff that looks just nasty to me [size=10](sorry taka, that doesnt mean I dont like you)[/h]
Hummmm, what else... Oh, Ishikei draws the most perfect asses and anuses and I love him cause he draws so much anal :>

And I have never seen Ishikei draw 2 left feet! :D

But thats just my opinion. I still like Taka too, but I just cant even imagine any artist going over Ishikei in my head. He may not do the best stories for his mangas, but dear god that doesnt matter with his skills :)

Ishikei behind Tony Taka? For shame.

Now, I'm not saying Tony Taka is a bad artist. While Tony has contributed more besides hentai and doujinshi (anime, video games, etc), on a purely H stance, there are few among the same level as Ishikei. Ishikei still regularly does original hentai manga on monthly anthologies and does doujinshi as well. Tony Taka's doujinshi offerings have, since a long time now, been only illustration books whereas Ishikei's are usually actual stories.
Tony's style has a more 'cutesy' and 'moe' appeal to them as opposed to Ishikei's which gives a more erotic feel than Tony's work. Tony's cutesy and moe style is probably why he has been able to branch off to do things like design characters for video games among other non-hentai endeavors.
One great thing about Ishikei's style is that (probably with the help of his godly coloring) it looks fleshy. His females look like they have 'meat on them bones' for lack of a better term. Like Raparperi said, he can do small and large breasts in a way that looks natural. I can go on and on but people have said things I wanted to say. Lastly, he loves Kyou from Clannad and he like the series To Love-Ru. And that is a winner in my book.

Ishikei hands down.

T2's art plateaued once he could tell people loved it.

Other artists actually keep letting their style evolve.

Changing your style doesn't always mean it would be better though.

In Tony's case, rather than being stagnant, he's keeping his quality in check and in a safe level while experimenting little by little. His changes are so small that it isn't noticeable.

You know how people react to drastic changes.. lol

and to be fair Ishikei haven't changed much after 2005.

I'm saying Taka because he is possibly the best classy hentai draftsman ever.
Sure, his dialougue sucks and his layouts aren't much better but still... Taka all the way if you just want sheer drafting excellence.

I prefer Tony, the big problem I have with Ishikei is that anything he draws I will automatically see as erotic. I think its just his artstyle.

Ishikei.

Tony Taka's stuff is really good, but I feel like the way he draws women is kind of generic and his style doesn't have much distinct about it other than being really high-quality.

When I look at the women Ishikei draws, I feel like if I grabbed one by the waist, there'd be something to grab hold of. Between the two, Ishikei's women look more soft-bodied. Their breasts, thighs, vulvae, etc. seem to react a lot more to being squeezed and pressed against than in Tony's work, and I'm all over that.

Ishikei also draws cum better than not only Tony Taka, but better also than most ero-artists who do a similar amount of full-color work.

Tony Taka may look very pleasant and pretty, leaving a nice feeling in me, Ishikei knows just how to make the curves on women pop. He knows well how to make my senses overload and want more. I can never get enough of his work, and I absolutely lovely his one series. Nise Sister? It's the one incest one.

Voted to Tony Taka
Both are great artist but i chose the one that inspires me to draw(atleast try anyway)

It really came down to shading and a slight difference in eye size being appropriate to the characters drawn. Ishikei was barely a miss

Both are terrific artists, Ishikei has a really superb "cute" style, but I have to go with Tony Taka. His style is just more realistic which I prefer and makes fapping that more realistic (lol), but he wins by like a one point of a hundred. They're both great.
