Yes, that's Ran's timeout card. Yukari has one that is very similar, but slightly more difficult. And Yukari has one more spell card then Ran does.

There are some people who are only good for looking at. Collette may be one of them. Its nice that there isn't a love battle or a circle of Usami's friends forcing her into stuff. Its quite refreshing.



How many runs at that extra have you taken? Did you find that glitch with ultimate buddhist?

What "glitch"?

No idea. The recent ones are around 10 maybe. Not counting the runs where I mess up 10 seconds in.



I've been attempting PCB extra since Flan happened, my runs have been kinda smooth now that I came back to it.

I actually planned on doing them in order but Koishi was too tempting.

Any idea how many on average it takes before you clear the stage?

I honestly don't know. A lot. It depends on the boss too. Koishi took the most runs to beat, Nue the least.

Man dude... you have talent... Either that, or a lot (and I mean A LOT) of free time.

Talent would mean I'm innately good at shmups, so that's a no; though I do see myself getting better at it the more I play them.

Also Yukari's theme is pretty good. It's not Doll maker of Bucuresti, but still good.

You're too modest. You got more talent than I do, and more talent than quite a number of people here.

Doll Maker of Bucuresti is good, but there are way more themes that are better than it.

It's the theme I like most from PCB. Replaced Phantom Ensemble on the top spot.

Someone posted a video of a safe spot in Imperishable Shooting that makes the spell much easier. I've found the safe spot but haven't finished the spell yet.

Registration Period: April 23rd to May 1st
The first UFO event is coming in just over a week. With Impossible Spell Card coming next month things look to be getting interesting for this spring. Before dealing with the new game, Byakuren and the cast of UFO must be conquered.

The registration period for Hokkai Rising is now open. In order to register simply state your intention on participating.

Important Dates
Registration: April 23rd to April 30th
Easy Mode: May 1st to May 15th
Normal Mode: May 17th to May 31st

Format
This will be a cumulative scoring event, which is part of the reason why each mode is 2 weeks long. There will be no restrictions on which playable characters you use. Part of the goal of this event is to get everyone playing UFO as much as possible. To that end, it will be possible to out-score the competition with repeated runs even if none of them are 1cc's. You can submit an unlimited quantity of runs.

FAQ
Q: If I start a run and die at stage 3 with a score of 50 million can I submit that 50 million to the event?
A: Yes

Q: What if I continue from where I died and die again at stage 5? Can I submit the score for that too?
A: Yes but remember the game will reset your score when you use a continue.

Why don't you join the event? 2 weeks is more than enough to get your feet wet while not totally abandoning your daily duties.



I am not trying to be nitpicky, of course not, but I'd love to get an example on how to join from the sole event moderator first. For my part at the very least, I don't quite get the "intention on participating" part.

Is not what I asked, BiBiko. I understand it's been awhile since we have our last event, but experience makes up for what knowledge lacks; we cannot just let it evaporate. The event moderators before you, including yourself, set the examples with their own post, including yourself.
