Goooooooooddddd day Touhou club!

Koishi's Heart-Throbbing Adventure isn't very good. I kinda liked the beginning and thought the use of Hartmann's Youkai Girl was good (it actually became one of my favorite songs through that, even though I wasn't very interested in it initially) but it turned downhill pretty fast. It's like Asatsuki Dou's doujinshi: The creator tries way too hard to make the characters miserable (or bunch of nonsensical violent bitches in this case).

Well, at least I started to like Koishi through it. Kind of ironic, actually.

Haha, I can understand your point. Some people consider it as one of the most epic Touhou series-line in the making though. As for myself, I don't really find it appealing, and my reason is about the same as yours. While I did find Sanae's story there is depressing (my favorite story), it was just too forced, I couldn't bring myself to like it.

Koishi is one of the 'strong' characters in Touhou. Don't you think that she is strong by her own decision to walk on the different path from her sister's ? I do, and it's enough reason to include her in my all-time favorites.

Well, I downloaded and read "I don't understand my sister" and I'm not completely sure what to think of it. Koishi was adorably psycho, but maybe bit too much so. But the end made it much better. But judging from the afterword, I wonder if this wasn't and afterthought.

I also finally read "Monologue". It's very good, a really nice read. The story was interesting and the characters were portrayed sympathetically without making them OOC (except maybe Mokou a but, but that's commented on in the story itself). I always wanted a doujin about Akyuu and her short life, her thoughts about it and how she deals with it and I'm happy that Personal Color (who generally makes great doujinshi) took up this topic.

Also read some other doujinshi, among them "Of Idiots and Colds". I love Winter Scenery's Hina. I already did in "Blazing Cat Cart".

Nothing related to Touhou, but you know you can still claim 3 more girls Dr. Nyar?

Addition from me.
If I had to choose between any available immortals in Touhou to fill the role as someone who taught Akyuu about immortal's life, I would choose Mokou instead of Kaguya. Most likely because Mokou was once a human and her life-time experience is implied to be richer than Kaguya's, as you can see from when she told Keine about Iwakasa in Cage in Lunatic Runagate.

In short, Akyuu needs to appear more!



If you haven't check and you are also a fan of Winter Scenery's works, you might want to check "Madam Hina's Misfortune Cleansing Parlour" and "The Strongest Legend of Cirno" as Hina participated in both as a consultant, and it's not really everyday you can see Cirno being the only sane one in a story.
